I ran Kumhos back in the 90s and those tires were absolute dogshit in the wet. After putting a car in the ditch cause of being a cheap rear end and buying used tires, I never cheap out on rubber anymore. I really love my current Conti DWS and Winter Extremes. Going to have to figure out something new when I buy snows again. I'm assuming 17" is going to be the smallest wheel I can put on the new R, but I'm hoping maybe when I buy the car I'll be able to have them put snows on the stock 18s and then put my current 19s on the car for summers. The DWS will work in the snow, but I still prefer to have a dedicated winter tire when all the stupid people are sliding around and I need to get out of the way. Yes it is being held on by coathangers and was about 2 inches off the ground. Wal-mart obviously.

165/65R14 or 175/60R14. Bugger. Yokohama A539, Bridgestone Potenza RE88, and Continental PremiumContact 2 are about the best I can find.

Hey, don't be dissing Kumho. Their newer tires (post-2003) are pretty baller for the price. I ran them on my Oldsmobile, and my parents have a set of all-weathers on their Ram 1500.

Bang for buck is federal 595s for me. Although living somewhere that summer tires are all seasons my opinion is biased.

Panty Saluter posted:how do you even accomplish this Well, a Scion probably doesn't have a non-dummy-light oil pressure sender stock, so tapping factory wiring is out. As for the rest, the line probably threads into the factory oil pressure switch port, and like was already mentioned it's probably cheaper than the remote sender for Reasons, so naturally it's the better one (in the owner's eyes, anyway).
