Definitely keep them for fusing with warframe ability cards that you actually use. A lot of those cards are rares which require more energy to rank up than commons or uncommons. It's a waste to dip into your fusion cores to level those up when you can just do it with your 30+ decoys you have sitting around.

Don't ever sell a single mod, save them to fuse with other same-polarity mods that you want to rank up. Only use fusion cores after you've fused all your same-polarity junk extras.

I really think it would improve the overall feel of the game if any mob had a small chance of dropping a completely random mod, sort of like it used to be. And if they gave the void box-mods an actual table of good mods so people would have a reason to care about loot rooms again, and maybe even give loot rooms in regular maps a chance to drop some mods with their own table. DE really doesn't seem to like people rushing through missions, but instead of rewarding taking your time they just want to punish rushing instead.

I don't see the point of putting mods on specific mobs. Yes it lets you attempt to farm them but a lot of mobs only turn up in certain level ranges as crazy people who try to fill the codex will know. Match all drop with a useful transmutation system (pour in mods to reach a point score depending on rarity?) to help people fill in the holes, or use trade instead of another farm RNG.

It's another system in Warframe with a lot of design issues. It's another RNG, it sucks terribly for newbies and the hardcore swim in oversupply and they've bandaided a fix on to it in the form of trading.

There's a whole lot of bandaids going on in Warframe now. Platinum discounts because pricing is very poor, prime parts trading because the RNG was pushing people to giving up, everything jammed into loot tables to hand out through RNG rather than challenge, aura slots because a forma or new frame is a total liability in missions with no survival mods etc...

The worst part is that plenty of the issues have what seem to me to be almost effortless fixes that DE just doesn't want to do some some unknown reason. They need to remove power mods and just have them be part of the frame, and give players either a set of starting auras or maybe dummy aura cards that just give you the power for your frame with no other effect. They could easily shift some of the prime pieces into all of the other derelict keys, or even just add more tiers. They could do with adding a mission rewards to all mission types and making it so that you get to keep all the rewards from each set of waves in defense.

And there's tons of other easy fixes for the myriad problems in the game, but I guess DE is too meek to want to make sweeping changes that might upset people playing their "beta".

PS4 newbies: Don't be afraid to ask in clan chat or join a voice chat and ask for assistance. If you see any infested invasions and want to unlock a planet/node ask. I took a few today to get the infested invasion area today as well. If you see any helms or other blueprints that you need from alerts ask. Most of us will have the spot unlocked or close enough to get it as well. Most of us are going to be doing them for the cash and other rewards as well and don't mind having other clan members tag along for the ride/help.

Actually that's really good advice in general, invasions are great for completing really terrible nodes like the level 30 rescues in ceres/pluto.

Detron is 1400 dmg for what mods I have in it now. Some are not maxed and only a potato added so far. Totally worth building.

Yes cause the power strength affects how much total damage it'll do but duration affects how long it takes for that total to tick. A shorter duration will concentrate that damage into a tighter window.

To whomever needs help with mastery rank 8 test, Zephir's tail wind is a very easy way to complete.

I've read how this test is a nightmare for the console guys because aiming and wall running sucks.

(Loki did jack poo poo for me. It was more of a hassle than an actual solution to beating this test).

Back to Zephyr, I recommend to have the following mods:

Energy Siphon mod(for mana restore). Otherwise, you won't have enough mana/energy/whatever it is called to finish the test.

Flow, for an increased mana pool.

Neither mod needs to be maxed out. Two-three bars/ranks for each should be enough.

Tail wind needs to be at least rank 2. With rank 3 I was overshooting the round platform thing (when jumping from the first horizontal ramp/floating bridge). Not that it matters, since it still counts as a land, even if you overshoot.

Using tail wind while in the air sends you flying in the direction of your crosshairs. If you look up, you will fly up, if you look down, you will dive in.

Important note: Duration mods add flight distance, while range mods add "attack" range, not actual jump height or horizontal flight distance.

You will need a total of 6 tail winds to finish the test. 3 pairs for each stage/check point platform, in fact. First use will send you flying vertically in the air, the second use (once in the air), will catapult you horizontally.

Don't be shy to shoot the first orb for each stage (first two for the last platform) and use the ramps to close in some distance. Even if you fall off the round platforms you need to reach (which I did every time with a rank 3 tail wind), it will still be considered as a successful land.

I believe, although :siren:I need to test it and confirm it:siren:, this can be just as easily done with Excalibur's super jump and slash dash. I should have tried this first. I realize how important this alternative actually is, since the Oxyum required for Zephyr is just as much a pain in the rear end to collect as this horrible test.

On a related note, otherwise irrelevant for completing the test:

Did I mention how, since I was a kid, I loving hated platform/jumping puzzle games?

Be sure you touch that much of that pixel at the end of the ledge and do a double jump at around that one pixel right there, within a 2ms time frame or else you fail and need to try again the whole level and suffer through a mirriad of idiotic custscenes?

Wait, in Warframe, it gets better. You need to accomplish all that poo poo with clunky and unresponsive controls and a glitchy game engine, further crippled by a stat called stamina, which always runs out half way through (unless you find all these super rare mods to max out for half a million credits). I was flying like an imbecile for a good 2-3 seconds.

The only platforming game I've not merely endured, but genuinely enjoyed is Assasin's Creed (the original). That little game drives circles around the sham of parkour bullshit in Warframe. Improving any of that pales to adding a founder or prime package each month for two-three hundred bucks since it is what the community wants! :vd:

I got back from my business trip to find that all clan research had been done for Zephyr and Banshee. Thanks guys :unsmith: I tried to give as much oxium to the cause as possible.

But holy hell, 600 oxium to build that thing. Is a resource booster worth it? Then I could also get plastids for all the pretty things in the dojo too.

I think the "% chance to drop resources" booster is better than the "resource doubler", as I think it affects the whole team, and if used with a Nekros increases the chance desecrate works. I've been thinking about getting one to farm some cells, but haven't had the time to dedicate to just that to justify buying it.

Resource booster helps a lot. It genuinely doubles the amount drop for any given resource. Instead of 1-4 oxium for each drop, I get 3-8. I think you should use the one for chance to drop too. I had a mission with about 100 oxium (just one, though).

Note, that RNG is a bitch, so this fucker (drop chance increase) also "increases the chance to not get oxium", while flooding you with poo poo you do not need.

Sedna, Kappa and E Gate, Venus yielded 20-30 Oxium per run for me, without resource booster. Be sure to kill those Ospreys before they explode in your face.

Oxypreys are susceptible to Rhino Stomp stun, and they have a characteristic chirp. Put your foot down the instant you hear it, and you have a pretty good window for hunting it down at your leisure.

After donating for the research and building my own. I now am at 697 oxium once again. Now I only wish there is something else I can do with it other than look at it. But yes doubler is totally worth it for oxium.

For energy at the start of captures or rank ups without timers I use team energy restores if needed. Cheap to make and clan research has them as well as on the market. The blueprints are reusable.

Loki has been the choice frame for me from rank 8-10. Still trying rank 11 since I seem to be so scared I flip out when I get near them :(

Rank 8 mods: Decoy and Switch teleport, Flow, Energy siphon, Streamline, and Stretch.
Just aim at the sideways walkway near the edge at the closest part to you and hit decoy. Then switch teleport when aiming at it. Walk to the platform and jump so your head pops under it. You can now jump off into the void since it counts as you landing on it. Repeat for the last 2.

Rank 9 only use invisibility during the test cause a decoy will fail you. This is a stealth kill rank up. Just run around and kill with melee like galatine.

Rank 10 switch teleport, stretch, and invisibility. Jump on the first platform that can disappear and swap places with one of the guys standing on theirs so you can stay there. Pop invisibility and snipe the rest. I had a sniper rifle so range was never an issue for the ones across the way. And they do respawn some on the platform you are standing on so keep invisibility up.

I thought I was almost done with oxium (1 more Kappa mission should get me enough for zephyr) but now there are those drunkframe extractors you can build that cost 150 oxium each so I've got to get a bunch of those too. Getting 4 orokin cells from an extractor at once is too awesome.

With the extra oxium I had, I built a couple distilling extractors, replacing two of the titans I had. The highlight was 4 orokin cells on Saturn after two runs. Nothing special after an additional 7 attempts*. That was a week ago. Currently, I am fishing for Neuronodes on Earth, without any luck yet.

*It is possible (although I cannot confirm it) that premium time influences the RNG for resource extraction. I dug the good stuff while on premium time. After that, the pond magically dried out.
