Twitterrific is free right now. I know you're all hard for Tweetbot, though. I use the official app like a pleb. Edit: My bad, apparently it's now a free ad-supported app with IAPs. I guess you guys have good reasons for those Tweetbot boners. hypersleep fucked around with this message at 21:07 on Mar 26, 2014 |

I just started using Twitter again earlier this month and started out using the stock app, which was alright but kind of annoying for everyday use. Then I remembered I had bought Echofon Pro years ago because it had been great back then, so I reinstalled that and the newest version sucked. I bought Tweetbot after reading some reviews and it's easily the best Twitter app I've ever seen and it's been great for the past couple weeks that I've been using it. I don't think I could ever go back to any other app after this.

Nope, Tweetbot for iPad and Tweetbot for iPhone have always been separate products, because they have two totally distinct UI's. It's not just a big version of the phone app. Tweetbot for iPad is still great and worth every penny you'd pay for it, but it hasn't been updated for iOS7/brought in line with the newest version on the iPhone.

Is there an app with the wifi file server functionality of Air Sharing with the ability to store the documents from the app in iCloud? I realize I could add my Dropbox account and use that to keep the data in sync with my iPhone and iPad but I'd rather it Just Work. I've paid for iCloud which is another incentive.

Kaizoku posted:So glad I bought Twitterific two months ago. Fuckers. Monetizing on the App Store is hard. It makes sense, people seem to like to "try before they buy," and without any demo or trial functionality, free with IAP works. Plus free with IAP isn't as insidious as it is with games. You're buying features, some of which you may use, some you may not. This isn't death by a thousand cuts. E: Also I've found the best setup is Tweetbot on iPhone and Twitterrific on iPad, since the iOS 7 version of Tweetbot for iPad isn't out yet

For how good Twitterrific is, I still miss some of the little things Tweetbot does, chief among them handling of images: I love the way I can flick those away to dismiss them way too much compared to how small a part it is. Also the way Instagram pictures/videos open as regular images do, no browser pops up. Related note: if there's a Mac Twitter app that does this let me know, I'm using Twitterrific on OSX now and having it switch to the browser suuuuucks compared to Tweetbot on iPhone.

That seems pretty clearly intended for people who already have a 365 subscription for other reasons and need to be able to edit .doc's on an iPad and have the formatting stay precisely the same.

So reading the description on Office 365, it says 5 computers + 5 devices can use the apps, so that's not a bad deal. edit: Wait does that mean 5 guys can use Word at the same time? Or does that include only installation on 5 machines? Because I was thinking of buying it for my small office, but not if it's only 1 device at a time.

It's 5 computers + 5 devices for the 1 account that uses it. You can use it at the same time, but everyone would have to login with that 1 Microsoft account.

I checked out the FAQ and you don't need to all log in with one account, you just manage all of them from one location.

I used iCab on iOS 6 pretty much the entire time, until they started pushing updates that made the drat thing pretty crashy on the iPad 3 with iOS 6. Then I deleted it, switched to Safari and didn't look back. However, their claim of a complete rewrite for iOS 7 is spot on - it just works! I have it set up too look similar to Safari, but with extra awesome features. I'm happy that the dev took the time to fix his software!
