It's relevant since the Albuquerque Police Department is currently under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice for their high number of police shootings in recent years, relative to the small-ish population size of Albuquerque. This came to a head yesterday when protestors gathered around downtown Abq for the recent shooting of a homeless man, and police confronted them in riot gear. That in itself isn't too exciting, but what's more is that for some reason Anonymous decided to get involved and have been attacking APD websites and shutting them down. This, of course, is amusing to me since I just moved away from Abq last year, and nothing exciting ever happened when I lived there.
