Holy poo poo!

Mr. Nobody - weird art movie about Jared Leto being the only mortal in a world of immortal people. Whoah.

The Punk Singer - documentary about Kathleen Hanna, that should be enough loving said right there.

Ali - Will Smith is Mohammed Ali

Angel Heart - one of the best loving movies I swear to God, Mickey Rourke is a noir detective in Louisiana, there is magic and voodoo and it's the film that got Lisa Bonet kicked off the Cosby Show. Robert De Niro is also in it. Watch this poo poo now.

I have kind of a soft spot for Dragonslayer, which was recently added.

Also it looks like they finally have all three of the Man with No Name movies streaming, if you want some classic Clint Eastwood action.

About drat time, For A Few Dollars More has been a gap in my trilogy-viewing for far too long.

And Dragonslayer is an awesome film. :hfive:

Not sure if it's been on there for a while or not but I just noticed The Long, Hot Summer which is fantastic and has typically great performances from Paul Newman and Orson Welles.

Crouching tiger, yessss. Love that flick. Its only fault (and it's not really a knock on the movie itself) is that it is so much better than other movies in the wuxia genre (although I like House of Flying Dagger too).

Also reminder it lost best picture to Gladiator, ffs

I usually lurk around here but I have to say - don't believe this man. It bombed horribly for a reason. It's a pretty good movie for a while but just about the time you start thinking "why haven't I heard about this before?" it starts getting awful and stupid - and the ending is so horribly dumb that it will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. It's one of those movies where you say "oh, they're not going to do this stupid thing that they are hinting at, are they?" and then they do.

Yeah the only bad part of the film is literally like the last five minutes, and it's more predictable than actually bad. When I watched it the first time, it really wasn't that obvious to me, either, and I had a moment of genuine :stare:

No matter what, the first like hour is great. I guess it's better if you embrace it for a flawed cult movie (very much like Simon: King of the Witches, really).

He is the son of the man that Holden's mother married while he was in prison, after his father died. He's Holden's stepbrother.

Holy poo poo! you are a saint, thanks for notifying this is up.

When I was a kid I stayed home from school with the flu, and my mom rented no holds barred because I was a huge wrestling fan at the time. For years I wasn't sure if this movie actually existed or if my flu filled mind made the whole drat thing up.

It gets even better in later seasons, too, going from merely "funny and entertaining" to a show with some of the best writing on contemporary TV. Seriously.

And check out the AT thread in TVIV sometime - the show has plenty of adult fans, and not in the creepy brony way.

There's nothing wrong with just being funny and entertaining though. Personally I think the middle seasons are more consistently good than the super-sized season 5, which gets overly serious in places and John Dimaggio is only in, like, half the episodes. (Jake is often seen but not heard) I'm not saying the newer episodes are bad or anything, it just seems like people don't appreciate how unique the show already was.

Anyway, it looks like Lars and the Real Girl is back on streaming. It's really surprising how maturely it handles the premise of a man who buys a real doll and treats it as an actual person.
