Bobbie & Robby is actually an on-going thing which I enjoy. The strips on its GoComics page are 10+ years old and newer pages look much nicer, although I don't know if those pages are suitable for this thread (seeing as they're more webcomic-y):

I kind of got this from something Comics Curmudgeon said about the first one, but with the horse missing from all these it's very easy to read all this as a constant stream of sexual innuendo. It's also very funny that way.

I like Mason and have high hopes that this is the start of his life turning around somehow.

Edit: He actually reminds me of a kid I knew in high school named John come to think of it. My most vivid memory of John was him taking out a lighter and lighting it in order to get pulled out of class because his buttons were getting pushed and he didn't want to get violent. He was still escorted out of the room by the cops anyways but better at least it wasn't because of him getting violent.

Our high school had a few cops and security cameras to help keep the order just in case. I don't remember the school having any particular problems with violence but for some reason we had to have them. This was also before the Columbine shootings if memory serves.

He's clinically depressed, you see.

I grew up totally relating to him because I was suffering from undiagnosed clinical depression. It was great that even though he was a literal sad sack, his friends still hung out with him and didn't try to force him to "get over it". Sure they picked on him, but friends do that in moderation.

That's all there is to get.

That's pretty much how it always goes in these things, really. See also: Josh (Retail), Tiffany (Luann), Dustin (Dustin) when they aren't having him fill the role of his father, etc. Really, it's kind of surprising that Mrs. Trellis or whatever her name is (I might be mixing characters/comics up) isn't more likable than the protagonists as well.
