I was on an active duty scholarship instead of SMP/GRFD, but the process is identical: I went to the Army Reserve tent at LDAC, pulled up the list of all EN positions, and found the vacancy. When I got back, they submitted a memorandum for the branch and vacancy and that was that. In the Guard, you have to get a LOA and the process is a bit more involved; I don't know much more beyond that.

Literally pick any branch(QM) and find a slot that requires it. Boom, done. You won't find infantry in the reserves though. On HRC units post vacancies that they want filled.

OpenSSL had a major security breach that resulted in people being able to use a rather simple Python scripts to trawl for log-in/password information for any site that uses OpenSSL for security. SA was effected by this but it was patched this morning, so any password you make now should be ok.
