Well in movies that don't suck news (at least in my opinion) I watched The Life Aquatic, which I've never seen, and I quite liked it. People seem to get on Wes' rear end for having that 'quirky' style and having very strong stylistic traits, but I dunno there's something about his stuff that makes me really appreciate that he exists, because apart from his imitators, there's nobody else quite like Wes Anderson.

In fact, all my favourite directors tend to have really strong stylistic properties. I just like unique stuff.

To be fair, a lot of people are also watching Netflix on their TV through a console in other countries, so they're still not on American Netflix. Hence why I get to watch Sprrrriiiiinnnggg Breeeaaaaaakkkkk on my TV.

All the For a Few Dollars More talk in here got me to rewatch it tonight and I think I'm always going to go back and forth between it, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West for my favorite western. It owns really drat hard.

To be fair, it is really simple to say "using England btw". Even if one were to use a VPN one would still need to know which country's Netflix has that movie. Otherwise, we would have to dig through a dozen different Netflix countries just to find the drat movie.

Wasn't trying to be a dick, just saying like for gently caress's sake just do it, it's awesome. I'm imploring people to do it because it rules so fuckin hard. I don't even live in a country with Netflix.

It's not difficult to find stuff. I typically just check US/canada/UK. Like for Life Aquatic I just searched Wes Anderson then changed the region and refreshed to find stuff. Takes a couple seconds.

Speaking of using netflix on consoles, I'd love to have a reliable way to unblock netflix on my PS4. I typically watch netflix stuff in my room but I have a real nice TV in my loungeroom so it'd be awesome to use that. Unfortunately I haven't found a method that works.

Also it's weirdly American centric to assume because it's not on the US' netflix that it must not be on there at all.

Lots of people don't want to cram into the room housing the desktop, or huddle around a laptop with their friends and family, or set up a media center computer that hooks up to the tv & watch Netflix through a browser window and configure the VPN there, or set up a device that can push network traffic through vpns, then reconfigure it every time they want to watch some other region's Netflix on their Roku or Bluray player, etc. So for them everyone else's Netflix might as well not exist. If I was a younger guy and a bachelor again I'd probably agree with you, because a lot of times it was just me watching stuff by myself and the process of getting things working was kind of fun; these days I'd rather just stream to my television through an all in one device and since seeing ALL THE MOVIES isn't that important to me I don't really give a second thought to what's playing in the UK. It's not nationalism; it's feeling like the rigmarole isn't worth what you get out of going through it.

A forum predominantly of Americans talking about a streaming service started in America being more American centric. What a weird mystery!

Edit to be less of a dick: A lot of people were using Hola Unblocker or whatever it's called earlier in the thread and then there were reports about security issues. Don't know how those resolved themselves but I stopped using it at that point. Also a lot of people don't want to spend the money on a service to mask where they are so that they can use non-American Netflix. Nothing about this is really that confusing I don't think.

That's not what I'm saying, I just meant saying "hey that's not on netflix!" when you're American is a little strange. If I'm talking about a film in the netflix thread, unless I'm posting in the wrong thread by accident, it's probably on netflix.

Nah, I get it. And you'd think that part about probably being on Netflix should be true, but there are movies listed all the time on here that aren't on any version of Netflix which is pretty annoying.

Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates

I did a "UFO" search marathon on Netflix.
UFOis a reenactment that is a dry watch. Half stock footage half stock effort reenactments. This came out in theaters in the 50s. Whoever wrote the script was so bored they hid a joke when the U.S.Air UFO specialist "Albert Chop" called his wife on the phone to ask about his son "Chip". I would say pass.

UFO Conspiracy "...I felt like death was at hand..."-some hick. This low budget tv special on ufos and the flimsy "told ya so" evidence makes me feel like a kid again in the late 80s warming up with coco and a nice blanket to watch some TV bullshit because I loved UFO mystery. If you love schlock and fake footage reenactments of "grays" at least give it a minute from the 14 min mark.

The other two UFO films they have are just horrid SyFy quality crap where ufo conspirators have better hair then evidence. I don't want to derail this thread into are UFOs real but man there is enough pseudo documentarys on them they are a growing genre.

I'm not one to promote the meme of Chuck Norris but I you liked Death Wish 3, his movie "the Octagon" is on NF and its pretty much suburb ninja freakout.

To those of you enjoying Running Man, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out the original Deathrace 2000. Similar setting of gladiatorial tomfoolery in a dystopian near-future with David Carradine facing off against Sly Stallone.

Plus a transcontinental road race with points awarded for vehicular manslaughter, exploding babies, the French Airforce, and relaxed dresscode massage interludes because

The best part about David Carradine's character in Death Race 2000 is not really much of a spoiler, but he's supposed to be this disfigured monster, "Frankenstein", but then he takes off his monster mask and he's supposed to be some sort of handsome man. Except it's loving David Carradine.
