Thorgal used to be consistently amazing. The later stories don't hold up as well as the earlier ones though. This is from the webcomic http://killsixbilliondemons.com. I love the sense of otherworldliness in this image.

I like the way God was depicted in Chronicles of Wormwood. They're like oh poo poo...it's God (next panel is an insane old man with his hand down his pants). I'd like to see that again too if anyone has it. edit found it

What's the point of editors and poo poo when they let stuff like this into their products? Are they too afraid to go to an artist and say "Hey, uh, hey there, Bob. You know, we're gonna need you to redraw those pictures for us. They suck. Really, really poor quality." Do they think they're going to cry? This looks terrible. Everything about it. It's not even saved by telling people it's 'stylized', it's so bad. But it is so bad it's funny. So it has that going for it.

We talked about that particular book earlier in the thread and while the covers are really lovely and weird looking, the interiors are awesome (same artist, so what the gently caress happened I dunno).
