Holy Moses, that was amazing. The B plot was good, but Rick and Summer's party absolutely blew everything out of the water. I will never get over that cat choking himself while masturbating. I hope Adult Swim has Rick's dance music up for download soon.

Also I have fantasized about being able to stop time, usually when I wake up to go to work so I can get more sleep. Of course, them I'm like, uh, if I could stop time I wouldn't need a job because I could just straight steal poo poo, just like Rick!

"What do you mean, you're having a party? Are some glipglops from the third dimension going to come over and play cards or something?" "Glipglop? You're lucky a Traflorkian doesn't hear you say that." "Is that like their N-word?" "It's like the N-word and the C-word had a baby and it was raised by all the bad words for Jews." Then hearing Rick yell "WHATUP MY GLIPGLOPS" to the little green blob things when they...sqwanch? in was hilarious. Finally... It has been a... challenging mating season for Bird Person.

The best episode of the season is by far rixty minutes since it wouldn't be out of place as a moral Orel episode (which is how I rate the relative goodness of all animated television)

Now that it's over, I feel it's safe to say this is the best season of comedy tv I've ever watched. Roiland's insanity mixed with Harmon's autistic genius somehow combined to form something magical.

What a great season! Can't wait for the extras on the bluray! Wubba lubba dub dub: I don't give a gently caress! Some good gags and callbacks in this episode: Doopeydoop getting eaten and the bukkake bit stand out as one-liners. I almost felt like this was the weakest episode, Morty being such a buzzkill was kind of a drag, especially after his big speech to Rick about "going with the flow" during the Meeseeks episode. Rick has had Morty's back so often (if not overtly), it feels a little disingenuous for Morty to say "what do I get out of it" for the umpteenth time. Maybe it was intentional, but Morty's mood made some of the visual gags and quick jokes I usually enjoy so much fall kind of flat. If we are rating the episodes from best to...uhh...least best, I'd go: Close Rick-counters Meeseeks Something Ricked Rixty Mintues Rick Potion #9 Anatomy Park Lawnmower Dog Pilot Raising Gazorpazorp M Knight Shaym-aliens Ricksy Business Wikipedia says 10 episodes for season two. Any rumors on an eta?

Even though Rick makes everything exciting, I think Morty is my favorite character. I'm kind of disappointed that Morty is often the uncool guy, because he isn't as risky (ricksky) as Rick. Morty already has the fact that he's dumb as Rick is smart, but he also seems to be the only one with responsibility, which definitely balances out Summer and Rick, but I wish he wasn't depicted as so lame because of that. I WANT MORTY DEVELOPMENT.Do we have to wait a whole year for season 2?

It's always weird hearing Morty described as dumb because he usually makes responsible decisions and is occasionally pretty insightful. I mean, sure, he doesn't do well in school, but when it comes to choices in the real world he's pretty on the ball for a 14 year old. He doesn't really seem all that stupid, just passive and a little naive. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I like morty and I like his character, but I have a hard time believing he's the least intelligent guy in the entire universe. I mean, there seemed to be a lot of way dumber people at that party, I'm just saying.

He doesn't really seem all that stupid, just passive and a little naive. I reason Morty is stupid in that he couldn't do math or tell you all 50 states from memory. But he's savvy. He reacts fast, is empathetic, can defend himself well, is actually more socially apt than he seems, and deals with difficult life problems prettily steadily after he stops screaming. Basically Morty is an excellent Minion to Rick's tired and jaded Mad Scientist. Marty couldn't tell you half of what Doc Brown did (or just being 20% correct as usual), but he sure as hell could get those cables linked and deal with the nit and grit of high-concept sci-fi rigamarole. Which makes the idea of a bitter and legitimately smart Morty like we saw pretty scary.

My only disappointment was the lack of a dark ending. It's not that they necessarily needed one, but Dan Harmon gave an interview after Rick Potion #9 that was like, "You thought THAT was dark, just wait for the rest of the season." So I've been waiting for something as hosed up and just assumed this episode was headed to some disturbing places the whole time. I guess Harmon was talking about the dome of Morty torture.
