Norm Petersen for Cliff Clavin seems like a decent equivalency exchange.

I just want 12 Oz. Mouse on Netflix. I own the DVD already but the fact it's one continuous film makes it unwieldy to watch.

Yes, that is exactly what I did. Are you suggesting that it is inappropriate for me to complain about something that already understand?

I want a box set that's just a block of Adult Swim programming from the early days in 2000-2003. Stuff like the first couple seasons of Aqua Teen, Sealab, Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost, Home Movies, Oblongs, Mission Hill, etc. Put all the original bumpers and title cards back in too.

Yeah, watching the AS stuff on Netflix has made it obvious how much better it works as a block than in isolation. Really wish there were a digital distribution method to recreate any of those lineups with title cards from before it became mostly Fox syndications.

A interview with the two actresses really lighten that scene though for me, apparently they used fake labia's in that scene and ended up throwing the prosthetic's at each other after they finished filming it. The two actresses are genuinely funny and interesting.

Realistically, they could do this if they limited it to the shows produced by Williams Street. Chichevache posted:Give the first episode a shot and see how you feel about it. It is only 20 minutes out of your day for a series that could have a huge payoff. Nope, I'm never ever going to watch it. But wow, y'all weren't kidding about Attack on Titan's pacing issues. The first four episodes were so slow, and the main protagonists are so boring. Eren only wants to kill titans and Mikasa only wants to protect Eren. I'm sure a lot of people would consider her a strong female character, but she doesn't have a well defined personality or motivations outside of Eren, and the ease at which she kills titans seems implausible in the overall context of the story so far. It doesn't really gain momentum until episode 5, and so far I've watched through 13. It really does a great job of depicting people's reactions to the crisis on both a personal and collective level. Although the internal monologues were overly long and mostly unnecessary, it's nice that they made an effort to frame the events from multiple angles. I also thought the way the action unfolded and the tactics people used were pretty well thought out. Of course those spiderman-like mobility things seem much too futuristic for the general setting of the show, but in general the logistics seem pretty sound. Overall it's an interesting show, but the pacing problems really detract from it, especially in one scene where someone says "we've only 20 seconds left" and then three minutes pass before they actually do anything.

Apparently the pacing issues come from a tiny budget and the fact that they were literally turning episodes in to the tv station hours before the show aired. I certainly feel you there. I also agree about your complaints with the characters. I didn't love them either. What I loved was the world. The movements of the titans and the way they interacted with their environment felt entirely realistic to the plot while still managing to be incredibly unsettling and unreal. The high point for every episode was when I learned more about this world and how all the pieces fit together.

Why would genitals be any different? The envelope pushing is in the imagery not in what was actually literally used on set that day. On the practical side a prop is almost always going to be easier to work with than a real thing (whatever it may be) because it'll be consistent from take to take. There's a lot more control over shooting, lighting, interaction with actors, etc.

Can you imagine how uncomfortable it would get if they had to use real bodies for dozens of takes across several days? There would be legit injury after a while. I'd imagine a contributing reason for the poor production values in pornography is that they don't want to do things over if they don't have to.

computer parts posted:I haven't seen Brotherhood but I felt pretty similar to the first FMA. Actually, to be honest it reminded me more of a comic book, as you would have little hooks at the end of each episode to tie you into the next one. At the same time though yeah you could watch any individual episode and you'd probably get a complete story out of it unlike say DBZ which is just half exposition and then maybe a dude dies. Brotherhood is faithful to the source manga, where the original FMA was faithful up until the halfway through the series, then it goes with its own story.

I watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and absolutely loved it. Then I decided to watch the OG series to get more of the thing I loved. In the end, the OG series was quite poorly done and I regretted ever watching it. So I went and re-watched Brotherhood just to wash the taste out of my mouth. It was just as awesome the second time.
