I suppose that's an upgrade from Kirito). The difference between Tatsuya and Kirito is that, aside from being an MMO addict, Kirito's Mary Sueish traits tend to be actual positive qualities, while Tatsuya is creepy and inhuman in ways that the author inexplicably admires.

2 episodes in Mahouka and I have no idea what Tatsuya's personality is like. He's just kinda there. The only notable things about him so far is he looks like Seto Kaiba and his sister constantly praising to the point where she's basically worshiping him.

Well, (Mahouka LN stuff) technically it's only his strong emotions. He can still emote in other ways, just not very intensely. Hence the trolling in the second episode. Trolling people appears to be one of the few actual hobbies he has. I've read Mahouka, but I'll admit it's bad any day of the week. I do it because it's dumb popcorn, and watching Tatsuya just be awesome at everything is funny.

He is smarter and stronger than anyone else alive, but the education system just can't measure how special he is, maaaaan. It really seems like the author has an axe to grind about high school. I think Tatsuya is hilarious, but I kind of legitimately hate the author based purely on the ln's.

I'm not that eager to watch bad anime, just said I'd be willing to for a bad anime simulcast. And besides, I've already watched some of the better of those.

So CR finally started adding the first season of Fairy Tail, but just like Hulu they don't have episodes 13-48, and Funimations upload on Youtube only covers up to 12 as well. What's with episodes 13-48 not existing anywhere except on Funimation's site which only seems to have the dub for those?

Black Bullet Episode 1: This is seedy and a bit rubbish. Episode 2: Wait, this is awesome! What's in the box... Episode 3: ??? Also this show is giving off Elfin Lied vibes and it isn't because of this thread.

Blue Drop was a pretty hilarious PG-13 yuri series that we had to get very drunk to tolerate watching, yet somehow managed to marathon the whole entire thing in an evening. I recommend it (though remember very little of it, to be honest.)

The second episode of Mahou Shoujo Taisen is out, and this show could have been good if it wasn't four minute shorts. Since it is I don't think it's ever going to do anything interesting. I'm probably going to keep watching just in case Gainax goes bankrupt midway through it or something

The fight scenes especially owned. I'm a little put off that its base premise it a bit too similar to Scrapped Princess (young girl who will supposedly bring destruction to the world, everyone tries to kill her but brother-sister companions), but this time there's some kind of goal besides "don't die". e VV That description owns. I'm still expecting the consequences of losing three games to be a lot worse than losing your powers but maybe not and it's just going for a weird aesthetic. The second episode kind of put me off with the battle being decided by weird card game rules instead of actual fighting.

Chaika E2 was fun. Our protagonists being the straight-up bad guys ("World peace and no horrible evil empire? Nah. Boring.") and the male lead going all Jason Bourne on everyone was very enjoyable. Very minor niggle, though - the character designs are slightly weird. All the guys have misplaced nostrils, giving them weird snoutfaces (the girls escape this by not having any nostrils). It's most obvious on Toru, but the others have it as well.

So far Broken Blade is exactly the same as the movies and is apparently only 12 episodes so is probably not going to get any further story-wise, so I don't see the point. Well, advertising the manga I guess.

Well after the first episode No Game No Life could have gone anywhere. But this is a cruel world, this is anime. Our expectations should have never left the rock bottom they were initially at for the show. It didn't quite go in the worst possible direction. Instead, the second worst possible direction?
