Eh I don't think it's that big a deal, unless you're one of the weirdos who plays Locker or Metro 24/7. And how will it spread like wildfire? I don't see how you could possibly take advantage of this glitch. It relies on someone in front of you being killed, and still in a revivable state, which seems like too many random variables to coordinate into an advantage. It will block grenades for 5 seconds. And it seems like it acts as a shield for both directions, so sure, you could hide "behind" it, but you can't do anything to the guy on either side.

Had some fun games last night until I started having weird issues. I think my router was taking a dump. I started to get some really bad lag, and then my voice dropped completely. The lag eventually fixed itself, but the chat did not. Oh well. Rush was a nice change of pace.

It's strange; I get a brief, one or two second lock, then my game "catches up" and I get a notification that I can't party chat with one or more people in my party. Leaving the party then rejoining fixes it, though. I was playing with you and vegans last night, but i don't think we're friends. Add me: lawnie1.

Don't get me wrong it's dumb but in the grand scheme of things who cares? Hope they patch it that now that it's known though. In other news, do people just magically forget how to destroy machines on Flood Zone or what? Sometimes I wonder why it's so loving easy to roll around in the same LAV for the whole match and lay waste. I swear half the time I play that map I can just roll around between A/D/E and light up their team without getting hit by more than a rocket or two for the whole round. That map is slowly becoming my favorite conquest map because of it.

That guy is me by the way.

If you're good at locking everything down and hiding under bridges to repair, you can hit 40 kills easy on flood zone with the LAV.

Part of it is probably that I know about it now so I'll be paying attention when it does happen. I'd definitely recommend playing with other goons more before making up your mind about getting it. There is still a pretty solid group of dudes on PS4 that play regularly. I think Seedge summed the game up pretty well. Seedge posted:I agree lag and rubber-banding is bad. I don't agree on asking for a refund for Premium. I've got 400 excellent hours with friends outta this and I reckon that's worth the game and Premium. There's also still two more expansions to go. The PS4 crew is fun to just chill out with. If I was playing on my own I probably wouldn't be anywhere near 300 hours in.

I said I liked playing. Just not sure if I wanted to spend money on what looks like a busted product that could piss me off later on. But I just got it through a $1 for a month Gamefly promo so I've got plenty of time to mess around with it. I may be on later tonight after some Dark Souls.

LAV with Thermal, Reactive and Zunis is basically cheat mode. Stay on the highway on Flood Zone and keep checking your map for enemy LAVs and you are basically unkillable. You can give overwatch on A, E and D and clean up the kills. Be careful going down/up the ramps though. Your LAV will get caught in a DICE trap. The only time I can recall that glitch occurring is trying to span rockets and grenades through the door to the panopticon on locker, so it's not that terrible. Battlefield is really fun, and feels like the only true next gen shooter I own until destiny comes out.

I wonder if people still play Battlefield Vietnam at all. I'm almost positive I have the physical 1942 collection with Vietnam in it. If that's the case, I just need Codename Eagle and Bad Company 1 (and maybe 1943, but I'm pretty sure that's been dead for years). I do love me some BF2, but one of the reasons I really liked 2142 instead was because that was when they simplified the soldier kits. 1942 and BF2 have way too many kits to choose from that clearly gimp you in specific area whereas 2142 started the "jack of all trades" type kits (i.e. Assault getting a medkit). Also, I heard horror stories about BF2 skylords one guy in the PC thread acknowledged. I don't have any great stories myself, just loved playing Battlefield back then. Hostile walker! This may or may not make you feel better about DICE's incompetence: I bought my PS4 in February. Recently, the cover for the left analog stick tore. It's under warranty, should be able to get a new one no problem, right? Haha no, the shipping of the controller isn't covered under the warranty, so I'd need to pay to ship the thing back to them then wait until they receive it and ship me a new controller. So DICE is incompetent, but at least they don't suck more money out of you just to replace a broken product.

I guess they're still developing a bunch of new content and the maps were pretty cool but there was just too much poo poo I don't remember how to do with regards to the commander menu and kit selection stuff so I just went back to playing Darkest Hour for my PC sperg FPS fix.

Can someone help me out here? I'm fairly low-level so still unlocking crap just about every time I play, but I also like using the loadout presets. Is there any way to actually update a preset, or do I have to delete it and recreate it because ?

You gotta change your loadout customization between spawns or on battlelog. It's not as nice as having custom presets but you get used to it. You don't really have to delete anything. You just hit square and change your gear unless I'm miss understanding.

I know I have to pick my loadout before spawning. Let me clarify what I'm talking about : I have a preset loadout for Support called "Ammo Mule". When I unlock the ammo box "gadget" rather than the smaller whatever-it's-called that you start out with, I don't see a way to go into BattleLog, switch the gadget, and save it to the Ammo Mule preset. This means that if I pick Ammo Mule and then switch to the Ammo Box, and then I switch classes to my Tank Hunter Engineer preset, I have to still manually switch the Ammo Box in when I go back to Support. Unless (as far as I can see), when I unlock a new toy, I delete the old preset, pick what I want, and then save a new version. I was hoping there'd be a way to fiddle with stuff, and say "okay, now use this loadout for this preset" without going through the whole select-manage-delete-recreate dance.

So if you unlock a new Support gadget and equip it to try it out, it'll stay that way until you switch it back to your ammo pack. It doesn't matter what you named or saved your class as, it'll always be your most recent loadout. So basically, you can't do what you're wanting to do, but on the plus side they at least made it pretty quick and easy to change equipment loadouts while waiting to respawn (when you remember to, instead of spamming the respawn button while the death camera slowly pans over to a pistol equipped LAV on the other side of the map).

I don't know why when you unlock the larger Ammo boxes/Medikits that the smaller ones don't disappear because there's no reason to use them any more, like the Individual perks did in BF3 once you'd unlocked all the squad upgrades. fake edit: the answer is always

I know it does that for the just-plain-loadouts, but this basic functionality is missing from the saved presets, which makes it a pain in my rear end when I unlock something and I still might want to switch between my Tank Hunter (Engineer), Ammo Mule (Support), and Sniper Hunter (Support) preset loadouts. Yeah, yeah, . I'll just suck it up and deal with having to delete and recreate my presets anytime some new toy I like for a role unlocks.

Are you talking about the presets you can make in battlelog? I wouldn't even bother with those since you can't switch them during the game anyways (maybe if you have your computer next to you?). You pretty much just have to change your loadout al a carte while you are playing. Edit: For all intents and purposes you have one loadout for each class and that loadout is whatever you used last. Each change to that loadout needs to be done manually. There isn't really any good way to have multiple saved loadouts for one class. veni veni veni fucked around with this message at 22:41 on Apr 17, 2014 |

I imagine the desktop browser acts the same. Q: Why can I not play Commander Mode on a desktop browser, but only the console or a tablet (but not phone) app? A:

Actually the answer is you're wrong and they do have reasons to still be used. The mini medkit heals people on the move so you're not sitting around a box which could be in a precarious position. Alternately since most pubbies seem to think the health box is filled with poison and explosives the mini medkit allows you to actually heal them.
