The Times cartoon is bizarre. I presume it's a really obscure way of saying "Don't vote Labour" i.e. "Don't give Ed Balls the key to the British economy." However, the "car" is red and wrecked so perhaps its meant to be something to do with the Labour Party, or the economy under Labour.
