College football's atmosphere cannot be beaten by anything the NFL has to offer. But the games do feature significantly worse talent and most of the time games are one sided stomps. I can see why fans of NFL football wouldn't want to watch college football, and visa versa.

I went to visit UNT during an A&M bye week 3 years ago and realized there was a football game going on, but a majority of students weren't at the game. I asked the girl I was visiting about it and she was like "yeah I mean we tailgate sometimes but they aren't really a big deal" Every dude I've known who has gone to UNT has at least one semester where they grow a bad beard and wear flannel.

College football is lame because my alma matter is in the MAC so I usually have to watch them play different boring MAC teams and lose 1-2 games to a Big Ten team every year before they battle it out in a meaningless Beef O Brady's bowl game. The alternative is watching Ohio State (or now that I've moved, Michigan or Michigan State) destroy 8 creampuffs a year before they face any real competition though it is hilarious when they lose to those nobodies but all too rare.

Sort of like Basketball for me. Unless, unless the Hawks are their normal loving atrocious selves, in which case it's reruns of old TV series season. Week 1 match-up: Arrested Development vs Frasier. Frasier has some trick plays up it's sleeve, whereas Arrested Development has illusions, but both of these guys make plays. I honesty don't see who comes out on top of this one, but I bet it's the team that can control the football and get it to the endzone more.

Until college football installs a realstic playoff schedule (i.e. never) the season is pointless for all but about 10 teams who are preselected before even playing a down as the best teams in the league. It's fun to watch but hard to get behind Ohio U when they have zero shot of ever playing for anything meaningful since the rankings are 100% opinion-based. I guess I should have specified that I like college football but not as much as NFL since my team has no realistic shot of ever winning a championship, and yes I realize the irony of my NFL team being the Browns but they could conceivably win at some point in time and don't have to go undefeated for 10 years straight to do so.
