To solo the Coruscant WB put your companion on standby and stand at least 30m away from them, this negates the mechanic.

Took a try and a half to see how the mechanic worked, then took it down with over 90% health at the end.

Sorry pubbie who joined in mid fight, only to get slaughtered by AoE damage. It only *looks* harmless when its hitting a 55 shadow tank in 72-78 min-maxed gear. At level 11 you should watch out :D

And on that note, they apparently did fix the Quesh boss at some point since the last time I tried it. I was able to solo him and get the achievement this morning. Looks like the Dreadtooth kills will be the next big hurdle to overcome.

Nope. I'm not sure what Achievements if any he counts towards. I'm at 24k'ish Achievements myself and AFAIK he doesn't have one, Voss doesn't have a World Boss section.

I haven't bothered to kill him since 2.0 so maybe someone else has more info.

Weird. Considering how big of a deal he was for a long time in the game you'd figure they'd put something in. Though I still like my pink bike, gently caress the haters. Now that I think about it, I just noticed this morning that Voss doesn't have a unified Legacy Of achievement. The whole system is pretty haphazard still, even beyond all the bugs. Still nothing related to Arenas in PVP, for example.

8-12 well-geared folks can kill Dreadtooth at 10 stacks these days if you're mindful of the mechanics. The harder/more tedious part would be farming Essences, especially now that there's rarely more than one instance of Section X up at any time.

I just might possibly know where there's a guild bank stash with 9 or 10 of those secreted away since the olden days.

Yeah I consider ToR very stable overall but you go down a rabbit's hole of bugs and misinformation when you start getting serious about achievements and the codex. Like finishing Nar Shaddaa beastmaster by killing a Gundark on Dromund Kaas

Most likely the Nightmare Pilgrim was just forgotten about.

I'm coming back for the first time since like August (I stopped playing when Titans of Industry came out).

I'm mostly just missing a few flashpoints, some dailies, and Galactic Starfighter, yes? I'm waiting for the launcher to patch and I'm a bit intimidated by all I've missed.

Not really sure what was out then but...

They grouped some FP's under Tactical FP's which are basically role neutral for the most part although a tank or a healer makes them easier.

They made some of the HM FPs harder bc of this like CZ.

GSF is easy to get into and if you dont want to play it then there is no negative effect on your game.

They've probably re-ordered some of the comm gear and such you've been gone but it's nothing spending 10 minute looking at vendors wont help sort.

HiveCommander
Jun 19, 2012

By reordering comm gear, he means there's no planet-specific comms anymore. It helps out a lot, since you can get 'planetary comms' from your PVP and FP dailies and stil lbuy up mods from comms vendors closer to your level.
Having Tatooine commendations that can only be spent on a specific level-range of items really sucked at launch. The new system means I can grind FPs and warzones until I'm ~6 levels above the recommended for a planet (the max before XP rewards for quests get compromised) and not be hilariously under-geared.

Annoying thing about Dreadtooth, we took him down on "Nightmarishly Difficult" a while ago but it didn't spawn any of the lower level achievements too, so now we have to do him with fewer essences...not sure how motivated my guild will be to help me with my OCD completionist/achievement whore desires.

So last night's fun run of Dread Fortress was pretty hilarious in all the right ways. We dragged along Eimi, who had dinged 55 literally 15 minutes beforehand, but nonetheless got crammed full of loot drops. Despite things going horribly wrong on most boss fights, we didn't wipe once. I think Brontes actually gave us less trouble than the other bosses.

I don't think things went horribly wrong. There were a few unfortunate agro drops but I've been in far worse pugs. Though I am proud I yanked someone out of the way of the Reaches.

Spinning hands of brontes so there is a 50 percent chance it kills the raid is fun.

So is watching Hennimore die slowly locked out during the forge boss.

If you really want to grief a pubbie, you could probably sorc pull one outside of the boss fight room right after the ready check and then force speed in right before the pull (or take one for the team and get stuck out there with them)
