That is precisely the thing to do, Avatar.
Okay so its not a nub but its a lot shorter than most tails so it counts, right?

Oh my gosh. I love orange cats, AND he has a cute little nubbly tail. I want to pet his butt. :3:

Can people post some pictures of their cute black cats with white spots on the chest? I've been away from home for a month now and will be for a few more weeks and I miss my sweet little Malachi terribly, so I'd like to see some peoples' cats like him. I've been told that he keeps going over to my closed bedroom door and cries loudly until someone picks him up for cuddles.

It so happens that I'm at my parents' again this week, so I am very much in a position to help!

I am welcomed at the door by Obelix, who is looking very stately as usual.

Wait a minute... what's that on your left cheek, Obelix?

Why, it's a perfect line of slobber. Never change :allears:

As I have previously detailed in the thread, Obelix is very stupid in all matters except those regarding a cat's capacity to love you, in which case he is a foremost innovator. Most cats are content to curl up on your lap and purr loudly, but not Obelix. Obelix is unsatisfied with the Love Per Square Inch yield of this technique, so he has formulated his own strategy;

He will climb as far up your chest as your position, gravity and/or his own sense of balance will allow, and put his paws around your neck and give you a hug. :3:

Meanwhile, his sister Asterix continues to be aloof and deceptively clever.

She is eager to demonstrate her mastery of the glass spiral staircase and its transparent mysteries.

She and her brother have a very silly dynamic, caused in the most part by her continual skittishness and his utter lack of caring about anything other than loving you.

He will often walk toward/near her - he not really caring, but she taking Grievous Offense at the Encroachment, and voicing her discontent.

Her discontent will cause the two of them to come to blows. Clever she may be, but she doesn't seem to grasp that Obelix is too stupid to want to cause offense, or that he is a much better fighter than her. So she'll bat at him a few times, he'll shrug it off, then he'll bat back and she'll just back into a corner and give up.

They will both then stare furiously at nothing in particular.

Everything is normal. :3:

She's even fluffier than usual because I've been brushing her like crazy lately. Its shedding season and I'd rather get the hair with a brush than destroy my poor vacuum with squeak hair. I get more fur from her in one swipe than I do from brushing an entire Goomba. She is truly a luxurious cat.
