My complaint about Lucky Penny would probably be its plotlessness. I like the characters and the jokes are funny, but it's basically slice-of-life in novel form, which is possibly the worst possible format for slice-of-life. The other two good webcomics are Bad Machinery and Octopus Pie.

As much as I liked Johnny Wander, Ananth's story-based comic writing always struck me as pretentious and meandering, and I found most of the characters in Lucky Penny completely and utterly unlikable, like that tween boy who I desperately wanted to punch. I was under the impression (possibly mistakenly, I seem to remember them saying this in the news posts accompanying the first few strips) that Lucky Penny was just a preview of their side project, but then it lasted 130 strips with no signs of stopping. I check the site every couple of months to see if they went back.
