Au5 gone D&B. I mean, it's neurofunk from a dude that doesn't really do neurofunk, but it's still interesting. https://soundcloud.com/drumandbass/au5-reiteration-edmcom-exclusive Speaking of neurofunk, here's one of my favourite tracks in the genre (Bad Company - Bullet Time (Spor Remix)). I mostly listen to liquid or at least relatively harmonic D&B, but there's just something about a really thick neuro-bass and an insanely punchy snare that I love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DMW4pQ9QJI

Six Days is a classic so thumbs up on the selection. Thanks for the link!

Trip II the Moon is one of my favorite tracks ever. Got a tracklist? EDIT: I'm an idiot; it's down by the progress bar. Further edit: What break is that in the Orca track, at 9 minutes into that mix? Really excited to see a new(ish) label putting out so much good stuff so quickly. To be fair, they're also focusing far less on their own stuff. I mean, they're up to nine releases if you count the upcoming Neonlight EP, and only two of them are BSE related (Variations on Black, and a Hideous remix EP). Also, seconding the State of Mind album. Eat the Rich is an absolute cracker.

Yeah I knew it was BSE's rebranded label, I just can't think of many tracks other than occasional BSE originals that ever really caught my ear before they changed it to blackout though so it seems like a fresh start and a drat good one.

I know it's been out for a month or so now, but I only just got round to picking up Platinum Breakz 4. I got to admit I'm liking it. Even if it's kinda heavy at times, a lot of the stuff on it has a vaguely retro Metalheadz quality to them which really appeals to me. The opening track by Om Unit and this track by Ulterior Motive have really been doing it for me. Not a bad addition to the series really.

I forgot to post it here but I went live with a D&B mix just over a week ago. It's not getting any love in the Mixes thread in ML, but I'm sure some of you guys will appreciate it. Just shy of 90 minutes, starts off light and melodic but ends nice and heavy. Handful of mistakes, because I suck. OPERATIONS vol. 1 Also, it feels good to say - after spending too much time pulling my hair out over workflow efficiency (and bitching about it in ML), I finally sat down and forced myself to figure out a resampling technique that works for me. I've got some really heavy poo poo in the works, and I'm going to kick my own rear end into putting out a balls-out neurofunk EP this summer.

I don't know if you guys have heard of Hardcore Junglism, but this douchenozzle is filing multiple copyright claims on youtube getting these old 90's tracks removed from community youtube channels so he can hawk them out on his own "official" youtube channel and sell them via hardcorejunglism.com/ Sad thing is he's screwing over guys like MartynWebster, who probably has one of the best/longstanding oldschool channels on YT. I only mention it because he filed copyright against a song I linked in here. I'll plug Martyn's channel though, simply because it's a top resource for finding these tracks. https://www.youtube.com/user/martynwebster/about Also found this gem a couple nights ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLn0dFDLkRk DJ Docka -- Freedom

The recording didn't turn out You probably would have dug Andy Sine's set, he did a lot of digging in his collection, was mainly 94-95 stuff, played a lot of stuff I wasn't familiar with. He had a Dillinja track called "You" that was on a promotional EP for a distro, and was never released officially. He played a lot of Dee Jay Recordings and Lucky Spin stuff too. He's got some older mixes on andysine.com and he has a free app for iOS (and maybe Android?) that streams his mixes too.

Well worth reading. http://www.backtotheoldskool.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=126509 I still think he could have earned artists money and made some profit if he'd only worked with the community, rather than against it. I'm not usually a fan of clean DnB, but those two sets were smooth. They weren't behind the paywall they have nowadays, and I can't seem to find these two sets on the DnBA site. Now I am frustrated.
