It's criminal that X-Statix never went up against Mojo. Maybe that would have been too on-the-nose, though.

Not sure why the poster thought it was funny, but it's supposed to be hosed up. The explanation is that the kid is possessed by a centuries-old demon.

Nigel Kitching was the main writer for most of STC and Decap Attack was kind of like his pet project, so it was able to stick around for a few years after the Sonic stories had crowded out the other Sega adaptations. Here's another favourite of mine from Sonic the Comic #111:

Granted it's not the franchise Mario is but he was the mascot for the second biggest console of the early/mid 90's? The blue fucker was huge back in the day.

Sockser posted:No, not Sonic. Decap Attack starring Chuck D. Head Decap Attack was the best by far, but STC also adapted Shinobi, Golden Axe, Wonder Boy, Kid Chameleon (ended on a cliffhanger), Shining Force, Streets of Rage (written by Mark Millar!), Ecco the Dolphin, Eternal Champions (a bit rubbish), Mutant League Football, Marko's Magic Football and Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures. I'm sure a lot of these were probably a huge deal in their day; my dad owned a Mega Drive and the only games I think he had for it were Sonic 2 and Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf. One thing which I'm a bit surprised they never adapted was NiGHTS Into Dreams, but I suppose the Sonic strips had crowded everything else out by the time the Saturn was released.
