I think that's when they set up all the tables and ladders.

So what's next for The Shield? I really hope they keep The Shield together, but let them branch off and do more singles matches as well. No need to break up every awesome group just because.

Yeah we've had a ton of good trios matches out of them, I wouldn't mind seeing them branch out a bit again either. Stay buds, but maybe let Ambrose work some US title singles with Seth in his corner talking smack the entire time. Or let Reigns get some more singles match practice.

I'm interested in Raw just to see if they're really doing Bryan/Kane II at Payback, and what that means for Batista on his way out.

Batista's terrible return led to Bryan as champion and probably killed Titus's push. Thank you Batista.

There is a kind of bittersweet irony that the botched Batista return probably was the last straw for punk walking and sparked a massive fan revolt in disgust at what we were being expected to cheer for, but then it accidentally led to a great Bryan/HHH story and subsequent Bryan title reign, and a really over and effective heel Batista. Shame he wants out, as he was by far the most loudly booed of all of Evolution last night.

IIRC they requested to work with Shield as a kind of blowoff to their in-ring run and are back to their regular jobs with Road Dogg in some kind of creative role and Mr rear end as a trainer.

I liked the "Boo-tista" chant, it's a funny turn of phrase and the heel should be booed, but I thought the "you can't wrestle" chant was really disrespectful and unnecessary. Being called a bad or hateable guy is one thing (and what a heel is going for), being told you suck as an entertainer is another. I'm not too surprised if he doesn't want to subject himself to any more of that.

I know it will never happen but the locker room should stop asking about PPV bonuses and ask why they don't get a cut of TV, the company's primary source of income for the last 3-5 years.

Hell yes wrestlers should loving unionise. If they all upped and joined a union what could Vince do about it? But they won't, because wrestlers are mostly right-wing morons themselves.

I assume it would be like film unions where you could choose to not be in it and still run things. You can still run a non-union set, and you can even get a union actor or whatever to be in your movie as long as you follow the rules for them. So I doubt that would happen.

But they won't, because wrestlers are mostly right-wing morons themselves. It's a bit more complicated than that. Wrestling started as a carny business where everyone is trying to get themselves the most money by any means necessary (usually deception). It's very very difficult to believe some of the old hands who have wormed their way into management's ear won't help squash unionization, both to preserve their access and curry favor. Things have gotten less carny recently, but now wrestling's a monopoly, and there's nowhere to go if they're punished or intimidated. I think Flair tried to start a union at one point, and that's the closest they've ever gotten. If Flair couldn't get it done in his prime... yikes.
