Is there a good way of keeping a car that you like and have upgraded? The garage system makes me not want to use them, since I can't walk very far away without worrying about it it despawning behind me.

Aren't you supposed to keep your character's appearance on mission replays? I keep trying to do the mission where you shoot down the plane for Martin, but Michael and Trevor are reverted to their defaults. There's also 2 Trevor trucks in the opening cutscene.

The game randomly changed costumes on me so often that worrying about it just interfered with my enjoyment. It also led to doing a lot of Trevors missions wearing only underwear.

For the CIA heist prep stuff I showed up to the first mission of it as Trevor and Franklin was in the skydiving jumpsuit and Michael was in scuba, well the wetsuit. I can't remember any more instances of that off the top of my head, but it was always great. Even though it was usually inconvenient I'm glad they never fixed the glitch with the sub being marked as the last vehicle you drove when you'd switch characters.

Every time I see cutscenes from other people's GTA games, default Trevor just looks completely wrong. In my game he had the redneck mullet and a full-on hobo beard and that's just how I'm used to seeing him. Also Michael had a goatee.

Can't find Dom to complete his final mission, even after doing all the parachutes. I didn't do them all as Franklin, but they're all checked on my map as completed. I know where he's SUPPOSED to be, but I've driven all over that area and nothin' doin'.

If you don't exploit the stock market on franklin's assassinations, you get left with no way to even get near the 15 million you need for the golf course, let alone the other properties. Given that they give you this massive sandbox to play in, it would be nice if you could call your businesses to get moneymaking missions (rather than getting one call when you're busy with something else, and then told they'll not bother next time). Or just more stuff to do post game. Driving round shooting mans is fun and all but I can do that and make money in online instead.

I remember having a similar issue too, try doing all the other side missions available, and then like switching characters and saving the game and waiting or something. I don't remember exactly what I did but it was something like that to get the mission to become available.

I had that problem with one of Trevor's missions. The solution suggested was to switch to franklin, sleep, switch to your online character & do a mission/race/activity, then back to franklin and the mission should appear so you can switch to the right character and do it. You could also try going into the shark card screen and cancelling out because this sometimes acts as a world reset and might give the mission a kick up the arse. e: alternatively, I think the maze bank jump either popped for me with no marker, or it popped before I finished the marked jumps; I only went there because Dom phoned me when I wasn't busy and I went straight there. So I've got maybe 13 hours in this game. I was cruising around as Michael when I saw this lady on the side of the road. She tells me that her neighbors are having a domestic disturbance, hitting each other, etc. So I get out of my car and follow her to the house. While we're walking I call the police. I figure I'm just gonna get in a brawl and let them handle the aftermath. Welp, turns out it was just a bunch of dudes with automatic weapons come to rob me. I could hear the distant sirens when Michael said "I don't have any money, man" and right when they announce their intent to shoot me, I turn heel and run down the little steps I had followed the woman up earlier. I didn't even fire a shot. Thanks for the help!

Kind of a long shot but: is there any running list of GTAO missions that don't have time limits? I can only run solo mode but I'm finding it a ton of fun to figure out little tricks and heroic efforts to beat a mission that's obviously designed for like 3-4 people on my lonesome. On the other hand anything with a time limit can eat a dick.

On the other hand anything with a time limit can eat a dick. It'd be easier to list all the ones that do. Off the top of my head, there's Judging the Jury, Out of Harmony, Extradition and Out of Court Settlement. The first two have actual time limits and the other two end if you let your targets reach their destination. Judging the Jury's time limit is easy to circumvent with a Buzzard and learning the static spawns, and the latter two are easy to deal with once you know what to do in those missions. I think almost all of the new missions added in the last patch have time limits too, but those are all lovely and not worth playing at all.

I'm probably not playing GTAO until they bring Cops 'n Crooks back. GTA IV talk: On my original playthrough, I quickly adopted "What Would Niko Do?" as my playing style on anything optional. It was fun to play based on WWND? and how I thought he'd react as opposed to what I'd do, especially on optional kills and when you have to choose which McReary to pick off. Might be something to try for those playing through again. Also, why did Kate have to die? Maybe it was because I'd really gotten into the game to where I felt a connection to Niko and some of the other characters but, god drat, if there was one character who was a genuinely good person among the poo poo and didn't deserve that fate, it was her. That bothered me more than anything else I've come across in a GTA game and I played the final mission mad as gently caress. Jedi Knight Luigi posted:So I've got maybe 13 hours in this game. I walked in with my rifle ready for an ambush. Took a case full of a lot of money and stole a pick up. As I drove off and got back on the highway my gas tank was shot and all the gas came out and my truck stoped. Franklin says "aw poo poo" or something like that. I then got into a shootout with a bunch of guys and got out as fast as I could. I love the random events, just wish they're was more of them.
