"The First Time": a video by the italian branch of Save the Children showing kids from poor families doing something for the very first time. It's in Italian, but I don't think a translation is necessary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx-4rva2_ZQ

Stolen from Imgur: So this kid got "taken in" by a woman when she was in high school (dunno what her story was before that) and came to see her as her real mom. Ten years later she asks to be legally adopted by what she sees as her mother, on mother's day. Uplifting reaction video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_3LI84Rzhc

I can't decide if the owl is actually enjoying being petted or thinking 'If you were a little closer, I could have your eyeballs as a delicious snack'. I'll go with the former.

I was going to clear the wild raspberries growing around my home's foundation yesterday. That got called off when I found: One of three, maybe four feral kittens I discovered. I took other photos but they're indistinct furry lumps almost lost against the raspberry brambles.

Well I mean there's a lot of precedent for apes scratching capys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XurYH-JgFVw Also, here are some newborn (3 or less days old from the description) being bottle fed and trying to figure out how to walk. Unlike a lot of rodents, capys are born with fur and open eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXN7BJUj_gw
