Where did this 'cultural Marxist' stuff come from and how did it get so popular that the BNP assume people will know what it means? Up til this point I'd never heard anyone say it outside of Twitter jokes, I don't even really know what it means and I probably am one (also are we to assume they're in favour of economic Marxists? I mean they sure do seem to hate capitalism)

A helpful source: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Cultural_Marxism which cites http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-report/browse-all-issues/2003/summer/reframing-the-enemy quote:Television commentator Pat Buchanan says it is being used to "de-Christianize" America. Washington heavyweight William Lind claims it is turning U.S. college campuses into "ivy-covered North Koreas." Retired naval commander Gerald Atkinson fears it has invaded the nation's military academies. Immigration activist John Vinson suggests it aims "to distort and destroy" our country. Breivik blaming it seems to given it a new lease of life in Europe.

Remember all those Bulgarians and Romanians who were coming to take our jobs? The ONS have released figures for the numbers of such working in the UK - 140,000, an increase of less than 30000 in the last year and a fall of 4000 since visa controls were lifted. Eight days out and UKIP have been made to look like loving idiots. And the sun is shining too.

Exposing candidate after candidate as having the zaniest of views does nothing. Exposing them as the Thatcherite shits they are does nothing. This will do nothing. The people who are voting UKIP aren't doing so out of any rational reason. It's a protest vote, a way of raging against the establishment (by voting for a party who are proposing all of the establishment's wildest dreams).

Certainly not NHS with all the recent cuts, workfare benefits, or whatever discretionary CPI-adjusted income you have left from your minimum wage. edit: I mean, at least when compared to other countries. Obviously there are plenty of reasons to move, and to some extent these do include not having a job or already being poor in a country with worse living standards. I know that deliverychat is a favourite of this thread; today I had a missed delivery where they didn't even bother to show up at my door. I just got a text from Yodel saying "sorry we missed you", and apparently I'm meant to have a card from the courier. I've been sat here all day and of course there's been no van, no knock at the door and certainly no card. I'd call to complain but I don't want to pay them 5p a minute to do so.

it's never worth the hassle of dealing with yodel. just cancel the order, get a refund from the vendor and tell them that's why.

It was an order I made through a third party Amazon seller, I've sent them a polite but disgruntled email and will see what the response is. It isn't something I need urgently and I wouldn't actually care if it didn't show up until next week, but it's pretty annoying to be lied to by their courier service.

I don't listen to it 24/7 (usually have Today on in the background in the morning and sometimes catch the news before other stuff is on), but from what I gather it seems like it challenges bullshit a lot more than the TV news does. Again; that's based on half-listening to only a little bit of its output, I could be completely wrong! It also annoyed the Daily Mail by naming Marx the worlds greatest philosopher (by a public vote of Radio 4 listeners) a few years ago: which is something that I can get behind!
