I swear I heard on APM Marketplace the other day that the board of directors had been urging the sell off of Red Lobster for quite awhile. I suppose that's too free market for freep to deal with. Edit: it was losing money, but it didn't have poo poo do do with Obama, it was because more and more restaurants that are faster and cheaper with actually decent quality keep entering a crowded marketplace and one board member said that Red Lobster had kind of an image problem as "a restaurant your grandmother went to." I also have to wonder what that "expensive pimp car" and "Obamaphones" were. I'm not up to date on my Freeperisms, but I'm guessing "pimp car" means "a car a black person is driving that was made in the last 20 years/shows any signs of optional features such as rims or leather seats" and "Obamaphones" are "smartphones" and together, they mean "I am mad that a poor person is not dumpster diving to avoid starving for the day, much less that they can afford basic necessities like cars and phones that aren't complete poo poo"

Because Obama is now President it becomes objectionable, so Obamaphones.

I think a reason why it might have suddenly become objectionable is because phones have gotten more advanced (and cheaper) since Bush was President. Freepers and their kind might have been somewhat okay with a bare-bones flip phone for the poor (though they would still complain) but now that smartphones are cheap (and in some cases free) it's a sign that the poor is "living in luxury" on their tax dollars since why should THEY get a free phone that can surf the internet and check email and play music? It should just be able to make phone calls and that's it! It's the same reason why they say food stamps should only be able to buy bags of beans and rice.
