You probably won't be rolling in gold until late- and post-game. If you're on 360, I can give your pawn some weapons you can use or sell for cash. Some of the higher stuff can get you a couple hundred thousand gold.

Woooo, just finished the last quest I needed for the Hero achievement and thank god that is over. I had to play through 3 extra times than what I had planned because I kept missing obscure super time sensitive quests. I'm kind of tempted to run through BBI a couple of times to push my pawn to level 200, I'm over halfway there and murder time is getting drastically easier.

I've learned that it's basically a fool's errand to play DD without this page of the wikia open at absolutely all times: http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Side_Quest_Progression The way they did timed sidequests in this game is such horseshit.

Get yourself a sorcerer pawn in the 30s that has Gicel/High Gicel or the tornado spell, and some violent inclinations. Then run around distracting the drake (and rezzing your pawns) until the sorc gets one of those off, then go sick house on him when he falls. It shouldn't take but one or two of those massive spells to do it.

If you farm Soulflayer Canyon and Leaper's Ledge (or even just Leaper's Ledge, really) and sell everything you don't need, you will be rolling in money ages before the post-game. A couple of the weapons in there are guaranteed spawns and go for around 100k.

If you make sure to find every chest, leaper's ledge (and the rest of soulflayer canyon, because you're already there so why not) will get you big piles of gold. Probably your best bet before the post-game. Also make sure you do any sidequests that reward golden weapons, those sell for a ton.

Where the hell is this stupid griffin? I'm in the post-game and I'm looking for the griffin on Hillfigure Knoll. I've been all over these hills, tried looking at different times of day, and I cannot find him. Are there any griffins post-game or have they all been replaced by cockatrices and dragons?

The griffin is a physical manifestation of and will appear on its own terms whenever and wherever it pleases. In all seriousness, If it's not where it should be rest a day then try again or try other spots, it's awfully random.

I saw the griffin just as I got mobbed by snow harpies. It flew away as they were taking turns trying to carry me off. On the bright side, I got to see the wyvern too. Was pretty close to shooting it when I got frozen by snow harpies. The dragon flew off and I think suicided into the ocean. It's grim up north.

I got my pawn, Danger Ted, to level 76 and he's starting to turn into a walking engine of destruction. I say this because he completely annihilated an Elder Ogre while the two other pawns I had hired didn't know what the gently caress and kept dying. Seriously it took him three basic x-x-x combos to knock out one bar of health on the ogre. Knocking it down was like walk in the park for him. I looked at his strength after that and I think he was sitting pretty at 2700 and some odd strength.

(spoiler tags here may be a little over-cautious, but there might be people reading who haven't finished the game) When does the game pick an Arisen to be the Seneschal for you to fight? When it turned out to be some random online player's character, I loaded back to before entering the Seneschal's chamber (but after handing in the wakestones) and set the game to offline, but it was the same dude when I went back in. I really love the idea of having your previous character be the "end boss" and was pretty bummed when I didn't get to see that. Also, a weird thing happened that might be a bug? I killed and resurrected Julien in the mission where you can do that, and since talking to him after that maxes his affinity it made him my beloved for the Dragon-related stuff, he was in my house and everything. But then in the final ending cutscene, Caxton was there instead of Julien.
|
# ? May 22, 2014 11:00 |

That isn't really a bug, or who knows, but anyway it's because the affinity system doesn't stop working after the dragon scene... Affinities go down with time, so if you don't talk or do anything with your chosen one his affinity can go down, and if you then talk to Caxton or whoever he gets picked as the new one...

I finally had my first truly bullshit fight. An Eliminator, a bunch of Skeleton Sorcerors and an Elder Ogre all in a tiny room filled with water so any time I rolled my lantern went out. My pawns were always dead and any time I wasn't dodging or reviving them I had Masterful Kill primed because otherwise I'd get dropkicked out of the darkness. The only reason I could see anything is because the room next to it had one of those RC-activated bonfires. By themselves I could've annihilated any of them in seconds but god drat that was rough.
