I live in the states. I think I've only ever seen footballs (the ones you throw), frisbees, and volleyballs at the beach. The odd baseball and velcro tennis ball mits here and there as well.

It's incredibly tiring and bloody hard to make any sort of pass or shot that isnt from a standstill (and even then because of how uneven everything is its not great).
