And a lot of horses nowadays are so full of drugs they're not fit to eat.

I do, in fact Swedish Hutspot has become one of my favourite potato dishes over years. Though I can't stand it if it's overcooked and lacks any proper texture. A good mash has a slight thoughness to it. What was described earlier sounded more like it had the texture of lovely instant mash which I despise.

http://pornburger.me/ Who would do this to a burger? Some of these are just so, so awful! The Wake-N-Bacon would be an excellent burger in its own right, but no, they had to shove it between two apple fritters for some reason.

All this talk about horse meat made me hungry so I went to the local supermarket and bought some filet. It's actually quite cheap for filet. I cut a few slices to put on some bread (raw of course) with some pesto and sea salt. It's incredible how tender and tasty it is. I wonder why I did not try earlier. I think pony will now replace beef in all my tartares since it's both better and cheaper.

Americans are generally really averse to eating horses because they only think of majestic horses that you ride around on. Horses are cool and wonderful and pretty, why would we eat those? Same goes for rabbit. They're cute things that people keep as pets, why would anybody eat one? Americans are pretty weird about meat. If it isn't a cow, a pig, a chicken, or a deer a lot of Americans just flat out won't eat it. Granted this is also a nation with a lot of people that think fish isn't meat and you can eat fish and still be a vegetarian.

I don't ... what? Do you hate bacon? I can't imagining adding some would ruin a burger unless you can't stand the taste of bacon to begin with or burgers for that matter. I can understand not liking bacon on a burger but having a burger turn into the most disgusting thing you've ever eaten seems a bit far fetched.

Horse meat is delicious, rabbit is even better. Pork trotter is amazing. As is any meat that has been hanging in a closet for a few months. Charcuterie is the meal of the gods. One thing that belongs in this thread though is loving beaver tail. Ugh. I've had beaver tail prepared for me three times now and I'm still not entirely sure if it was intended as a prank each time. No matter how long its cooked, or what sauce its in, it will not change the fact that it's a thick hunk of unearthly flavored minerally tasting chewy fat. I also can't get over the styrofoam pack bundles of chicken uterus's at the local Asian market. Found squarely between the tubs of coagulated pig blood, and the jars of fake guacamole spread. Both of which I'd rather eat with a spoon than a bunch of chicken uterus's.

The local Vietnamese supermarket has the most meat case ever. Pig uteruses, plastic buckets of blood, packaged eyes, every organ imaginable, whole cuttlefish, chicken feet, pretty much every weird "not a skeletal muscle" animal product is in there. It's like looking at the unprocessed meat storage at a hot dog factory.

Potato candy isn't made of mashed potatoes like you're thinking of; it's literally just potatoes blended together with sugar until it forms a paste and then you smear peanut butter all over it and roll it up and leave it in the fridge and it's just so good.
