If there was a mutual attraction between you and a potential partner, but they still thought of you as a man, would that be a dealbreaker?

Not a deal breaker really, but they would need to understand that im just gonna keep falling down the rabbit hole that is known as "being happy in my body". If theyre cool with me continuing to change then im cool with them. I like people for who they are not what they are.

I can't see how I could be attracted to someone like that. If it happened though I don't know what I'd do, I honestly can't imagine such a situation at the moment. powerful weedlock posted:that leads me into a followup about how many nerds who are also trannies that you know I've had significant conversations with about ten troons, three of them were nerdy enough to be considered full blown nerds. The rest were regular non-nerds. Edit: Excluding online troons, who are almost all nerds.

I consider myself Bi. I see pretty girls and guys all the time. I care more about the person than what they are though. Ive discarded all the crap my parents tried to put on me and ive made up my own opinions.

Jim Rustler posted:do you now consider yourself straight, or gay, and do you think your thoughts growing up or your parents opinions on homosexuality had a influence on your decision to become a trans? I'm straight (I like dudes.) I was always trans so my parents opinions have no bearing on that. My parents' along with society's views on homosexual and transgender people definitely had an effect on how long it took for me to be comfortable with me being trans.

Are there more troons per goon than there are transfolk per capita in, say, the United States and why do you think that is?

VanSandman posted:Are there more troons per goon than there are transfolk per capita in, say, the United States and why do you think that is? I think its like .01 of the population is trans in the states. LGBT population stats are usually only in the 5-7% range. Find your own stats.

VanSandman posted:Are there more troons per goon than there are transfolk per capita in, say, the United States and why do you think that is? From entirely anecdotal evidence I think there are more troons per online capita than real life capita. A lot of troons are hidden away, shy, etc. and are naturally drawn to online communities even if they're not very nerdy people (they don't play games, don't watch animes, don't read comics, etc.) I remember reading about this back in the early 90s so it's probably quite well documented. Sherry Turkle, an MIT professor has done quite a bit on online communities. Her book that I read is Life On the Screen.
