It's amazing how a new piece of equipment can make you fall in love with a hobby all over again

My office is in the front room of a run-down 12 megapixel sensor but the rent suits me and the landlord doesn't ask many questions.

Just kidding, I'd say as long as the actual subject isn't the people you're probably good!

People are the subject of 90% of all landscape photos.

I like the muted colours in this. I just wish I could restrain myself in Lightroom to produce something similar instead of opting for sick colours and clarity etc.

The first step is realising you have a problem.

There's a halo between the sky and trees, the foliage is over-sharpened, and the clouds are a bit too contrasty. A more restrained approach, like the previous photo in your photostream, which is lovely, might have been better :v:

This is really wonderful. That golden light really makes it stand out, although if I had to nitpick, I kinda wish there was something to look at under the arch. But the colors are really phenomenal!

Yeah, the land portion looks a bit odd to me too, but that is just about how it actually appeared. There was a haze/mist over everything because the temperature dropped like 20F in a really short time. Will try tooling around with it though.
