So apparently while praying at the Sunlight Altar you are completely invincible from any PVP attacks.

ACTION AMERICAN posted:I've run into a bit of a philosophical conundrum regarding Bluecop invasions. Say I crush an orb, and I get summoned to the belltowers. Am I justified in hunting down the bellbros first, or does my mark take precedence? In essence, is it more important to deliver retribution to crimes past, or to stop crimes currently in progress? However, if Drangleic allows "stand your ground" laws, then the bellkeepers are perfectly justified in defending their property... Don't know if it helps but any phantom, gray or red or purple or whatever, that doesn't drop everything to try to kill you is a narc. So you could go for the host, if you want to cooperate with fuckin narcs.

In the Undead Crypt where you can light the fire that sets off all the other big hanging fires to reveal the Beksinski tribute, can you go down there and explore or is it just a pretty scene for the player to find?

The red phantoms with great lightning spear at the start of the gutter next to the exploding mummies that can evade hexes are a real dick move, From. e: Oh good they can just randomly ignore ALL magic. Soul spear will clip right through them sometimes. And they do 90% of my hp a hit. It's amazing how NG+ went from nothing special to a real asskicker right at Brightstone. e: Oh my god it's actually sunlight spear From you bastards. Wait this is the firekeeper's set. Free aiming in this series has always been really finicky and it's pretty clearly not setup for that to be the main method of play. If you aren't using something with a broad swing, getting a hit in is the entirety of the challenge. Otherwise, he telegraphs everything he does and is crazy boring. It's especially noticeable on such a twitchy boss like RRA whose attack points constantly bobble around as he's swinging at air. There's really no reason not to have each of his legs be a lock on point.

The secret of RRA is that he's the second easiest boss in the entire franchise but also has some moderately annoying trash mobs to take your attention from it. The only reason he's hard is because he does about 3 times more damage than he deserves to for something whose attack animations consist entirely of 'snuggle you kinda roughly'.

It's not a rat at all? It's a wolf/dog that's rotting. The rats are pretty silly; it'd be better if it started out none and added them as the fight goes on, forcing you to kill them quickly before they swarm, or something. Schwack posted:I knew there would be a requisite 'git gud' comment! No it's not. Free aiming is not hard. If you have something with a very narrow hitbox, such as a thrusting sword, it's going to be more difficult yes, and that is the point. That's why you carry around multiple weapons.

Those two phantoms may well have been the hardest fight in the game for me. They both have way too much HP, you fight them in water, and the priest literally never runs out of Sunlight Spears. I pretty much won by accident when Faraam guy did a jumping R2 at me when the priest was right behind me. He flattened his own team mate when I rolled. The only thing I didn't really like about the chariot boss is that, on rare occasions, his wheel spike can still nick you even if you're in an alcove. It's only happened to me twice (though it happened to be back to back attempts), but in NG+ I think the spike straight up one-shots you. If you can, try rolling away even if you think you're safe.
