Bryan's about face on the live shows is pretty funny. He started doing them live and was pretty clearly jazzed about people from ALL OVER THE WORLD listening. So he expanded it, saw how it was engaging with social media and began scheduling things to make the live shows more popular. Then he suddenly realized "Oh everyone is just listening for free." Well duh you've only been promoting over and over how these shows are live and free why wouldn't people just abuse that. I listened to the other half of Jericho's Bully interview and was mildly disappointed. It was still good but they glossed over so much it was crazy, I know they only had so much time but I would have preferred they go in depth and have him back (if he was willing, they seem pretty friendly) at some future point to continue on.

I'm pretty sure the rise in subscribers is due to a perfect storm of news worthy stories: Punk quitting, the rebooking of wrestlemania, the fan backlash, Bryan getting injured.

I agree on the former but I actually think Zayn would be the guy to pick if you had to choose since he has the same sort of babyface fire as Rollins. Honestly haven't seen much of Neville outside of the 2012 BOSJ and the two big NXT shows so I guess I can't really judge him though.

Yeah, other Sami wouldn't be a bad choice if you're going that questionable route either. Good worker with the requisite intensity and he has a look that could work with the group without seeming like a clone of one of the other past or present members. Still, he obviously isn't going to be put in a top level group on the main roster if they haven't even put him on NXT TV yet.

I actually wouldn't have had a problem with that as a 4th but with Rollins gone, the dynamic changes. I love Zayn but I think he'd almost look cartoony in the Shield attire. It just seems like a much more comfortable fit for Neville. You can mask his mic weaknesses, I don't think he'd look out of place in the get up, he brings the same kind of energy as Rollins with arguably more of a babyface moveset. There's a big fear that he'd immediately be rejected in that role, but I think he's the most obvious choice under contract to fill that spot.

Zayn is just such a natural fun babyface. Having him be "serious Shield tough guy" is really bad miscasting. Rollins at least had history of playing the outcast heel role, he fit the group that way. Who knows, maybe Zayn is great at playing a badass tough guy and just hasn't gotten the chance. I don't see it though.

No need for Paul Roma or other folks to join The Shield. It was great, the guys were great, it did exactly what it was supposed to do - get the guys over as a unit while also letting them get better as individuals until they were ready to leave the nest. The same thing is happening with the Wyatts, even Rowan is getting a bit better month by month. WWE is having some good success with trio groups at this point, they should keep cycling the new ones in as the old ones break up.
