True story now E-6 and below march. 2nd and 1st classes don't have to be in the formation and can just walk beside the group but they still have to muster.

I sure as hell do not wear a glow belt and I sure as hell will not march. Naval Station Great Mistakes isn't that terrible.

It was big enough to be seen on Google Maps satellite imagery. bringing discredit to the service from loving space owns

longtime navy dudes ...barring the movie Mister Roberts(every enlisted guy was a buddyfucker), whats the most accurate to the real navy movie or book you've seen or read? I starting re-reading Thomas Pynchon's "V", and the US Navy small boat bits in it are so full of bizzare, stupid, inane things that it screams legit US NAVY enlisted experience to me.

Also I haven't read it but My Nuclear Family is about my boat, and I'm apparently in it. The guy who wrote it is a tremendous rear end, but I haven't heard that it's particularly inaccurate.

That was one time I truly relished being an O. loving marching in Pensacola summer heat 100 yards and having to wait for every swinging dick to get in formation before you depart anymore? Yea, no thanks. Could be worse though...when I was there, Army guys at their tech school (A-school equivalent) were doing heat acclimatization and walking around in full body armor with kevlar helmets and M4s...

Its a farcry from Navy but Generation Kill is the most accurate depiction of the Military. As a civilian you'd probably think the crude dialog is exaggerated

The Apollo 12 episode of From the Earth to the Moon (the HBO miniseries) is one of the best depictions of three Navy pilots stuck in a can for a week that I've ever seen.
