Yeah, we discovered the problem. There's an arbitrary cap on drivethru emails which the publisher system doesn't tell you about even if you've input more addresses than it allows. Now that we know about the cap, Dagon's sending them out in acceptably-sized batches.

They really are. I had to send out vouchers 3 or 4 times for IW to get them all through, and some people still needed them sent individually afterward.

In theory you can paste in a bunch of email addresses separated by commas and have it send them. In practice at least on my system it just kind of stops partway through if I try to send more than 120 or so at once, and when it does that is when I find out that it actually sends them in the reverse order from how I pasted them in. Also they recently changed it so that coupon codes are tied to that email address, so I've gotten a bunch of messages asking me to resend to a different address.

Yup, the cut off seemed to be 130, no matter if they were pasted in the comma separated list or uploaded into their new group thing. I ended up making multiple groups of maximum 100 names for each KS tier, and then sending them one group at a time. So far so good...

While RFC 822 does not appear to define a character limit for header fields, in practical use the fact that the To:, Cc: etc. fields have to be parsed implies that Sendmail, etc. probably have maximums for how many entities you can include. Mass-mailer programs like mailchimp send hundreds of individual emails instead of trying to cram hundreds/thousands of recipients into the Bcc: header as a consequence.

What is inexcusable is for any online company to not have basic email functionality figured out. It has been a stable standard since the early 1980s and there are abundant, free, out-of-the-box solutions for basically every application imaginable.

Though the two sculpts look interesting, a word of warning. They seem to have no miniatures experience, haven't disclosed who will be doing the actual production, changed from 3d render hand sculpted halfway through, and don't seem to know what size the bases should be. Pledging might not be a great idea.

New KS for Forge Wars, a combined area control/geometric puzzle plus Euro worker placement economic sim that Rahdo's gone all sloppy over. The game is already funded to the tune of 200% and is several stretch goals deep.

Fair warning, this is a first-time designer, but he seems to know his stuff. He legit attempted to recreate the Cones of Dunshire which makes him alright in my book.

Free to roam the heavens in man's noble quest to investigate the weirdness of the universe!

So this Through the Ages Kickstarter completely defies the intent of Kickstarter. As far as I can tell, it is pretty much just a clearance sale, but they don't even state the purpose of the Kickstarter anywhere. It comes off as shady, in practice rather than delivery, but I guess if you want to get TtA with a bunch of presumably janky games with it, then this is your Kickstarter.
