For those not in the know it's a bundle of sticks bound together, with an axe head protruding. It's a symbol of centralized authority that originated in pre-Roman Italy and still shows up in modern European and American heraldry (it was on the dime for a while). It seemed appropriate for the 40k universe since it's oppressive but in a sort of cruelly ambivalent way that's already represented essentially the same thing for thousands of years.

^^^ Rokkits on koptas are a free update? If so that is amazing. Keep in mind this is the first 7th ed codex. If fantasy is any indication everything is going to be balanced fairly well? Hopefully? The mek guns are looking pretty great right now. S8 plasma cannons, and some of the best anti-air artillery pieces. 2 traktors with 2 ammo runts and an extra grot is 69 points, heh.
