I rerouted it to a non-retarded location around the window and re-spliced the connector. Now working! Gauge cluster instrument lights. Only half worked, turns out during the swap I tied the oil pressure light to ground and was blowing my halogen light above my fuel sender. My bad Shifter bushings Wired in switched power to e-fan so it wouldn't run when car is off. My fault. All injector seals were leaking. As mentioned above, all door handles replaced. Let's see, since buying the Fozzy 3 years ago, I have replaced: Engine Transmission Driveshaft Brakes (rotors, pads, and calipers) twice All four wheel bearings Radiator Alternator Both ball joints Engine and trans mounts Passenger door latch, it was fun driving around with that door ratchet strapped shut for a week A ton of little things I am forgetting It still needs: All four struts Suspension bushings (all of them) Shifter bushings Steering rack Possibly a rear diff? Exhaust Axles So, not as bad as Kastein's Jeep, but more than enough to make me want to set it on fire and walk away.

I went manual to manual but had to replace the bellhousing to place a crank position sensor, since I also went from K-Jet to EFI with a new motor. Granted this car is basically just a science experiment to see how much I can actually learn before it just decides to poo poo itself, but I am thoroughly surprised how much work high mileage vehicles actually need. 250k and counting.

quote:A trough of low pressure will trigger widespread thunderstorms as it moves through Central Alberta on Thursday. Thunderstorms are expected to develop along the foothills in the early afternoon and move east, lasting late into the evening. There is still uncertainty with regard to the exact location of the most severe storms. Strong winds over 90 kilometres per hour and hail larger than loonies will be the main threats with these storms. Well, gently caress.

Powershift posted:Well, gently caress. That's just the standard text that comes with any severe thunderstorm watch/warning. I'm assuming you're up in GP (where the watch is?)...for the next couple hours, you're in the clear, but as that quasi-stationary trough moves east (quasi-stationary meaning it moves at less than 5 knots), you're going to have unsettled weather for at least the next 18-24 hours, with tomorrow afternoon giving the greatest potential for the development of severe thunderstorms. I would say that the single biggest concern associated with this is, rather than winds and hail, the potential for forest fire. MrChips fucked around with this message at 23:40 on Jul 2, 2014 |

Has anyone ever had a head gasket leak coolant to the outside on installation, and then stop during breakin? The prick left about a half ounce puddle the morning after I filled it (did not run at that point) and was obviously continuing to leak, I pulled plugs and stuck a borescope down all the holes and my pistons were dry, and the vehicle had to loving move that day so I said gently caress it I'll do something about it later. Since I got it running and started the break-in process it hasn't leaked a drop, despite multiple attempts to find it with a pressure tester. Graphite HGs are basically possessed? I attempted my first-ever guitar setup on my acoustic, a Seagull S6 Cedar hecho en , after the kids went to bed tonight. It has had a crazy high action since I got it like 10 years ago, so I took off the strings, filed down the bridge piece (forgot it's real name), adjusted the tension on the truss rod to reduce the bow in the neck, and fiddled with the intonation a bit. HOLY poo poo, WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS SOONER? It feels like an entirely different instrument now. With the high action, I had to focus so much on jamming the strings down as hard as I could that I played really sloppy. Now I can actually focus on what I'm playing, which instantly made me a better player. Very, very happy with the results .
