Thinking about bad Lifetime movies they really need to do Cyber Seduction aka the Lifetime movie about porn addiction.

Cyber Seduction would be great. Actually, Lifetime movies in general are so so great. There could easily be a bad movie podcast dedicated to them alone. A few Saturdays ago I had LMN on for like 8 hours and saw part a movie about a haunted road, a horrible movie about 2 rich kids who's families both simultaneously lose all there money somehow so they decide to get rich again by murdering a third kid who happens to have just won the lottery, and 2 different movies about incest.

There are a loving ton of "classics" too, like that one about a baby that's possessed with another dead, and vengeful, baby. Also there's that one where DJ Tanner gets raped by Zack Morris.

Even though I disapproved of the choice, the Lambert impressions totally turned me around on WHM this week. Great episode solely for that.

I also loved Eric's "It's like the opening of Sorcerer, except in this they fight an ACTUAL SORCERER."

Fingers crossed for Swordfish, although making fun of Catwoman is always funny. I feel like I could talk about that b-ball scene for about 30 minutes alone. Only the American History X b-ball scene is worse in the history of b-ball scenes.

Do you legitimately believe it would be HELPED for a movie where 'the spleen' has the super power of farting and some Indian dude throws spoons to be released in a time when super hero movies were MORE of a big deal? Like, you think this garbage would look better if it was easily compared to The Dark Knight?

I believe it would've helped if the genre were stronger, so that it would be clearer to non-NERDS what was being parodied. I'm not talking Dark Knight (although that's a silly movie that takes itself way too seriously), but generic super hero CGI action garbage like Daredevil and LXG. Also it was dumb to spend the money they did and yes, Paul Reubens was not a funny one-joke character.

Oh I laughed so hard in that Mailbag episode where Secundus was the guy's history teacher.

Also I'd like Swordfish, as I haven't heard a review on that, and I'm wondering...why is the password always Swordfish? It's a trope on TV tropes but it's never explained why. Did one movie just do it and then everyone copied them or something?

The gag was also appropriated by nerds in the early days of computer science and you'd see it pop up as joking password references from time to time which is how it became the title of the movie, since a Marx Brothers reference doesn't make a lot of direct sense there.

How Did This Get Made is back to their biweekly schedule. Okay, "weekly" but since their off-weeks aren't really worth listening to it's biweekly to me. They're my least favorite of the big three but it's still nice to be more regular.

Did they finally realize that although having a baby is a large commitment, you can probably pull together a few hours a month to do some work?

In all fairness, they're first time parents. They probably didn't realize that being pregnant/raising a baby is 90% sitting around on your fat rear end.

We ALMOST talked about it, especially since Quest for Fire actually has a scene in a CAVE with a BEAR in it, but it must have just slipped our minds during the podcast itself.

Also, get ready for a surprisingly even-handed response to The Patriot in our 4th of July episode. It's damning with faint praise, but mostly because Jason Isaacs is a magnificent bastard, and the movie tries REALLY hard to avoid saying that Mel Gibson owned slaves.

Oh god, yeah, I hated listening to their impressions for that reason. It produced a similar reaction to being forced to watch someone eat with their mouth open.
I don't think they did that impression when reviewing other Burt Reynolds things, I can't remember them doing that in The Fuzz or Cop and a Half.

Their impressions are just impressions of Norm MacDonald's Burt Reynolds impression. I'm not sure why Norm chose to do it that way in the first place, but it's a classic snl sketch now so it's cemented in peoples heads I guess.

Just a heads up for any WHM fans, late last night I used a free $1 Amazon mp3 credit to pick up the guys' Trekmentary track and listened along while watching Nemesis on Netflix Instant. I'd say if you haven't checked it out yet, doing so for the low price of "free" is pretty worth it.

This is why Eric is the best guy with impressions. He's not very good at them, but he's just so earnest and his timing is so impeccable it's just perfect.

I've been listening to WHM for months I can't remember the guys names nor associate the names with voices or personalities (unlike the Flophouse, in which it was pretty easy), but I just love when they do impressions. Ape Tim Roth was great in this episode, but my favorite is still George Lucas.

I get the impression that she just didn't know what she was getting into. I mean, obviously she knew, she just may have been expecting to get more fun out the bad movie. Maybe a different film would have been a better choice for her, though going by title and description it's obvious why she would have picked 3 Days to Kill.

Or maybe she was disappointed because she thought she agreed to be on How Did This Get Made and it turned out to be The Flop House. :v:
