You'll see...
I think the story behind that is that the company that did the localization went out of business and so copies of that are pretty rare noawadays.

While his spine creaks and and contorts, yes.

The Vic 2 launcher has General Lee leading the Confederacy to battle against the redcoats of the Union Jack, which is certainly one of the weirder historical possibilities. I'm not sure if it's more or less wildly implausible than Bismarck declaring war on the Union, though Bismarck probably wins when you consider that he's actually on the field waving his sword about.

So in Vicky II, how exactly do colonial provinces become full states? The various Africans under the benevolent fist of Brazil don't seem to want to become bureaucrats.

Why would you think that? Japanese import games don't cost hilarious sums of money, and it's the same process in reverse.

I... actually have no idea :downs:. I guess I kinda assumed that if a box for a game is really expensive but buying it off Steam/Gamersgate/whatever is not, then it's probably import prices.

You need accepted/primary culture POPs to migrate there, if they aren't either then you get a -100% chance for promoting bureaucrats.

Best way to do that? I made one African state focus on migrants, but no one wanted to go there.

To be fair, that's not a totally baseless assumption; but most (if not all) major publishers have local manufacturing facilities that they use, instead of shipping games across the ocean. I say it's not totally baseless because a more niche publisher like Paradox may not have access to those kinds of facilities (though the packaging seems to indicate a local distributor). And there's no voice acting in V2, so the cost of translating is as low as it gets.

(Also I don't want to sound like I'm being mean to you, you're an exceptionally reasonable person and I think this is twice now you've conceded a point I made in a not-very-polite way. Sorry. :shobon:)

You need to push people out to the colonies by starving them or letting them sit around unemployed. Having factories or low consciousness decreases colonial emigration (although unemployed craftsmen are probably the best bet for colonists).

Who is the vassal that is rebelling? If it's a baron, bishop, or mayor, then you need to move to the province that contains the castle, temple, or city he governs. If he's a count or higher, his province will look like a foreign province and will not have your color, so you need to move your troops into his province. To quickly find where he is rebelling from, click on his portrait in the bottom right, click on his portrait on the war summary screen, and then click on the flag to the left of his head.

Also, you may need more soldiers to siege the province. If your dudes have a percentage next to their unit size, but also a symbol with a red thing on it, it means they need more manpower to siege his province.

Thanks for the suggestions. I never did figure it out, my troops just wouldn't match into his province. I just with I knew what I was doing wrong so I don't do it again.

That's weird, you should be able to march into every province unless it is unreachable because there's an ocean inbetween.

There's a new interview about HOI 4 out. Highlights:

-A co-op mode where multiple people run the same country is planned (One guy can manage the war in the Pacific while another manages the Atlantic, North Africa, and Europe)
-Switching leaders requires you to spend "political power".
-A military presence can pressure neutral countries into trading with you.
