I like the first one, you framed the bay nicely. The second one isn't as good, there's no interesting subject in the composition. Try getting in close to either some rock or the water to emphasize one or the other, right now it's a halfhearted combination of both

Thanks for the feedback. I feel the same way about the second one. Of the single-shot photos I took this day, that was the most interesting one. My attempts at getting closer to the rocks lead to too much splashing.

I had my 5d3 and a 35 1.4 and a rokinon 14mm. I wish I would have brought the 70-200 for the wildlife outside of the city, but I've been told the landings can sometimes be pretty rough and wanted plenty of space in my bag for cushion. It's also fairly cramped in the basket.
