I discovered the perfect storm of obnoxiousness. It was a Hispanic lesbian who was a rhetoric major. She was simply one of the most vile people I've encountered in college. Not because of race or orientation, but because she felt everyone should celebrate her for it.

I dunno. I think an English or writing degree is absolutely worth poo poo if the end goal is to not teach the subject. Anyone can write well or become well-versed in literature or whatever. Just loving read a book and do some base-level analysis of it. It's not difficult.

I've read the history of the rise and fall of the Roman Empire all volumes, like 6 times. Cost? 99 cents on Amazon and free time blazing and watching it storm or snow. Meanwhile dipshits will go 90k in debt to get less of an education on the history of the Romans, or amazing historical writing and analysis for that matter. If the poo poo you want to learn is learnable with an amazon prime account and some gumption you are a loving idiot for going into debt to learn it. Obv some stuff you can't self teach or certify, but anything liberal arts or humanities? You can self learn a lot. I want to put philosophy on this list too, but I took some philosophy classes that kicked my dick in. Not because the professor made them difficult for no reason, but serious philosophy coursework can be mentally exhausting- if not completely useless.
