I'm surprised how nice the show looks. Green screens can do wonders. If it's them just talking about TV shows and movies playing it could be real funny. Will he have a co-host or just do this solo?

I remember years ago when Ant first started doing Live from the compound and he was messing around with the green screen, he had Jimmy on as guest. I remember at first you couldnt' seen Jimmy, just Ant laughing like crazy. Then slowly an rear end started to appear next to California. Jimmy slowly revealed himself wrapped in a green towel rear end first. It was one of the funniest uses of green screen I've ever seen. Has anyone uploaded that to youtube or something? I can't seem to find it on ustream anymore.

News & Talk is pretty much in the wheel house of "fair use". Doesn't mean he can't get sued, but he's in a pretty safe grey area.

If he starts selling MST3K type podcasts, yeah, he could be in a bit of trouble.

I always did think it would be neat to grab the audio from one of the Back to the Future secret shows, and duck/sync it with the DVD

On the test show, he pretty much showed 60% of Scent of a Woman. I think in old Live from the Compound shows, he used to stream other TV/Movies not in the public domain.

I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt when his show starts, but wouldn't be surprised if the big dummy does something stupid.

Jimmy's been doing a lot of press to promote his new Vice show and he's shown up on a lot of podcasts, which is pretty cool.

His recent appearance on Kevin Pollack's chat show is really fun for someone who's a fan of O&A, he asks a bunch of inside O&A fan questions, like "Why is Erock "Slobbo", when everyone knows that Roland is the real big boy on the show?"

Man, poor Samm Levine, that's what he's doing these days? The rest of the Freaks and Geeks cast went on to pretty much run Hollywood and he's the sidekick on someone else's podcast.

I dunno, I enjoy them. Maybe you're sick of Breuer because they used his old clips for vacation filler for years and years. Though I'm not surprised he's getting even more rambly and easily distracted in his old age.

He does that for pretty much any interview. He's got three stories worked out, and he's going to get to them whether he has to forcibly bend the conversation or straight up tell the host before they go on air. It works great for him, when he's calling into a bunch of radio stations to promote a tour or album, but it bothers me when a performer passes on an opportunity to work in the now.

The fact that I 100% don't believe any of his stories probably doesn't help, either.

Apparently Fez went in for surgery today....and thanks to his inability to take care of himself, is now waiting for asprin to clear his system so he can get his back surgery done. He's still waiting on a gurney, and then poo poo himself.

So I guess he couldn't wait until the vacation.....for the surgery, not making GBS threads himself.

No, he's got himself a bit more under control, although he does acknowledge his blinking (and he also hasn't said anything preachy yet). I had to go to work before I watched the Tyson interview, but the monologue and first sketch were not bad. No idea if non-fans will like it, but Jim came off well.

Pizzaman is definitely bullshit in the way he tells it. It's different every time he's on and one day someone else who was on the show noticed that and starting asking questions (think it was Ant, he always had a weird vibe with him) that had him stumbling and changing some of it as he went along.

It actually happened that he had a dispute with some neighbour because there are apparently public records of it and I appreciate that comics embellish for effect but he can't even get his bullshit unfunny retelling straight.

Plus his stories about his mother/father are all "he/she poo poo themselves or said something crazy/inappropriate".

I agree with this. I was listening on the drive home and he was incredibly annoying. It was like listening to Goat Boy for the entirety of his appearance. Jim Florentine has a distinctive voice too but he's much more entertaining. On the brighter side, I caught Dan Soder's robbery story this morning and found it pretty interesting. Maybe he will continue to be a large presence on the show.
