The Electronaut posted:A friend's boyfriend at SDCC: Where do you find a plain silver ear cuff like that (preferably pierced, but not works too)? All my google searches return really elaborate pieces, but what I'm looking for is a simple sterling silver band like the one in this photo. I've asked a few jewelers and even a lapidary, and all I get is "that was a fad in the 1990's--good luck finding that stuff now!"

Edit: ^^ Yes, it was a fad from the 90's early 2000's. I had one when I was younger and trying so hard to be goth. I haven't seen those in ages. Reo posted:Edit: If this wasn't already posted he also did Killing Joke: That's either some really good prop-building or photoshop, and in either case a neurotic kind of attention to detail. The camera and lens markings are spot on, but neither of them is real. "Witz" is German for "Joke", and "Witzmacher" is a cover-correct misspelling of "Witzemacher", joke maker, both made up to look like camera branding.

Basically the problem is every old prospector ever looks exactly the same. It says "professional" on his badge, does that mean he's an official part of some booth? Is there some geek thing coming out soon that has an old prospector in it?
