Anybody watching Extant? It's moderately interesting, but I never hear any talk about it. It's got Halle Berry in it, and is actually pretty decent science fiction. The CGI is brilliant, the writing and dialogue isn't amazing, nor is it bad. It's a bit above mediocre. Halle Berry, her roboticist husband, and their robotic son are a unique triage of actors, and each excel at their roles. However, all other supporting actors, with exception to the Asian CEO who, albeit his role resembling that of every generic old Asian in power (see Helix, Caprica, etc), perfectly fits the visage of an old Kazuo Hirai or Satoru Iwata (Sony and Nintendo CEOs).

Waiting to see if it gets a second season or actually gets interesting. Aliens make human woman pregnant isn't something new.

Extant means still in existance or surviving. There's some kind of alien vibe going on, as the main character finds herself pregnant after a series of hallucinations while on board a space station for about a year. There's also hints of a potential robotic revolution from the pilot. So I'm guessing the future of humanity may be in danger?

I know what extant means I just assumed they picked it because it sounds science fiction-y and not because of anything germane to the show.

I used to watch House but stopped after season 4 or something, though I think I remember reading about an episode that takes place in an alternative reality where House is a mathematician or something? Does this episode exist or was it the summary for some fan fiction?

One is under the influence of House being shot, the other is under House half dying while taking meds to remember what happened to Wilson's girlfriend. If there is one like what you describe its in the later seasons.

But there was a lot of episodes so maybe it just slipped my mind.

Remember the House episode where Cuddy kisses and sucks on the severely scarred piece of muscle on House's bad leg? Why? I don't know why, but that was all dream sequence. Thank god that was all a dream sequence.

It was fair game in the general kids show thread, but tbh there's really nothing to say about it at this point. Of course it does irritate the poo poo out of you so I'm sure I could find something.

I've asked it before, and I'm asking it again: When does Continuum get good? I'm trying it again tonight, and the last episode was some boring political whodunnit murder with Helo from BSG, and this next episode is some dumb VR poo poo that's giving me flashbacks to the First Person Shooter episode of X-Files. Does the show get better at the start of season 2, or what? There's only two episodes left in this season, and I feel like I'm watching Castle except with the comedy dialed down about 50% and the sci-fi dialed up about 25%. A show about time travel should have the sci-fi dialed up way more than 25%.

I usually don't advocate skipping episodes of serialized shows but I'm really tempted now. now they're planning on using her HUD to control her this episode is terrible i thought it was bad last episode when they used recorded cell signals to recreate everything that happened in that apartment but i rolled with it this is worse oh god now the kid is putting on a vr helmet from the 90's and it looks like tempest how is this so baaaaaaaad "SOMEONE IS HIDING CODE WITHIN THE CODE" HAXXXXING
