The tac Scimitar is the most overpowered ship in the game and will probably continue to be so for the foreseeable future, yes. If you prefer escorts, the fleet Ar'kif is probably close behind.

Fer'jais are pretty nice, personally; running around pewing with both chroniton and tricobalts, high yield a lot of the time. The weapons being longer cooldown for more damage per hit type works better with the way fighters don't maintain constant firing arcs.

The Kar'Fi could really use a refresh pass to bring it in line with newer Zen ships, even a Fek'lhri Lockbox would make me happy because there's a place in my heart for those space demons and their smoke spewing spaceships.
