KSP questions: is it possible to fly into the sun yet? I own KSP but keep getting bored and frustrated halfway through building my 1st rocket. Taking off and launching with the prebuilt stuff works ok, but I can never seem to figure out how end the missions after my pod is back on the ground. Any/all tips on KSP construction and flight will be welcomed. Is it best to work from top down or bottom up in the constructor/what height should the starting component be placed at? how do you move entire assemblies around without stranding components? whats are the best "beginner" builds for KSP?

I guess with enough delta v to get into a close orbit of the sun and decelerating enough to drop into it you could crash into it.

You can do it, you just need a really crazy ship. You need enough delta V to escape Kerbin and enter a solar orbit, and then more delta V so you can slow down into the sun.

Also it's not very exciting, the edge of the sun isn't visually defined so you get closer and closer and eventually just poof.
