Lol so glad I didn't have to deal with that poo poo. You should take pride in pressing your dungarees and BDUs and shining your leather boots! In boot camp we still had the "ironing watch" which was obviously a holdover from dungarees since we had literally just switched. Wonder if they still do it.

A little research explains that it's actually two radars on each side...I thought I was looking at an enormous transmitter and almost as huge receiver next to it, which would be odd. Apparently replacing that mess with a solid-state system lightened the superstructure by 20 tons.
