The cities are largely liberal. The farther you get from a city, the more crazy you will see. Which is part of the problem. The vast majority of the country dwellers are white, they don't ever get to be around other races that much, so they wholeheartedly believe stereotypes. They fear the unknown, which is a natural human thing. There are young and old white people out in the country that actually believe that black people have an extra bone in their legs, and that's the reason they are so good at basketball..
