Lol at all the Dexter stuff. That's why I don't pay for Showtime anymore. Sounds even worse than Weeds. ninja edit: SoA is totally a Showtime-caliber show now that I think about it.

I remember when people were afraid they'd get beaten up by real 1%ers for wearing SoA tops. Now they're just afraid of being between up for their terrible taste in telly.

http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/07/27/sons-of-anarchy-comic-con-2014-panel/ I'm curious, how has Jax not been an "inciter" before? Maybe I'm not understanding Sutter right, but it seems like Jax has been an "inciter" for awhile now. Also looks like the nightmare won't end for awhile now. Books are now guaranteed. I wonder how long it will take before one of them will contradict something in the story's plot. I found this, too, but I don't know if any of it's true. IMDB and all. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1124373/board/nest/232687777 Kinda hoping it's false, but knowing Sutter's style like I do, it's probably all true. Hope we'll at least get an explanation for why Jax is beating a guy like that, not just some "Oh, Jax is in a really dark place right now, and we're gonna portray that by showing him beating the poo poo out of a dude for no real reason." I'm just gonna go ahead and bet that this 'new Jax' isn't going to last long, or if he does his actions will be nothing but a random slew of things done for no real reason because he's "so different and much more brutal!" Gemma's also going to be the one who becomes a lumberjack. Jax will wake up in bed with Ed O'Neill and confess the horrible nightmare he had. At that point, he'll be told the story lines of his dreams are starting to suffer, a fact that's blamed on his frequent watching of Dexter. Then he'll go back to sleep, and I assume this is where Sutter's next show comes in. EDIT: On the bright side, at least we won't have to worry about Tara's corpse getting raped, unless Sutter would actually sink as low as devoting screen time to her body being dug up and violated. Christ, he totally would, wouldn't he? JaddaCaddra fucked around with this message at 01:15 on Jul 28, 2014 |

Wait why would Tara's grave have prison numbers? She wasn't in custody at the time of her death. Why wouldn't they just release her body to her family?

FX apparently likes Sutter enough to sign him to 20th with a first-look option on anything he writes... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/kurt-sutter-inks-new-deal-721722 Why, I do not know. I've been half-assedly watching since season 3 and lurking the thread and goddamn, talk about a show that went off the rails. Why the gently caress did he kill Tara off? Like, what the hell did Tara do to deserve Gemma doing that to her? Seriously. All she wanted was what was best for her kids. Gemma being all hosed up and Peg Bundy-ish is honestly the worst character development ever. Like, first two seasons, Gemma was a seriously conniving, awesome, manipulative bitch who really could have been a fantastic character. And then she turns into someone who just gets high and fucks poo poo up with no real development as to why.

Just ripped through this show and now the thread. Lots of great laughs. This show is a comedy. Gemma is hilarious. So glad the bathtubs of piss got a lot of love in this thread. Why haven't we seen Bobby dress up as Elvis since the pilot? I feel like he should be in Elvis gear at least twice a season. Other than close family and Wayne taking care of Jax's kids, they spend a LOT of time with unnamed biker groupies. Par for the course in that world I'm sure, but I'd like to see a scene where Abel mentions one of the girls pushing him on the swing kept complaining about a serious rash. Or maybe he finds a needle in her purse and shoves it in his tongue? Without cutting away of course. I also love seeing all the LA spots where they shoot. They have a go to spot in my neighborhood, Eagle Rock, and they've shot there twice for this next season. It makes me smile when I walk by the spot where Jax gets all macho and yells and Juice or whoever is pissing him off. I'm excited to be following this comedy show with everybody this fall!

I also raced through the show and then the thread and I just wanted to say that it increased my enjoyment of the show exponentially. Some of the funniest poo poo ever. But it was helpful in a another way: see, before I came across this thread, I only knew that it was a show on FX about bikers and that it was popular. I was watching so fast, my own realization that it was a terrible show was just catching up to me around the time I finished getting caught up. So you see, being able to stumble into the open arms of this thread to find so many like-minded individuals was especially comforting in that time of intense distress.

Everything about it reads like a prison grave, which she wouldn't even be entitled to. It breaks Jax's character (even more) to do it that way. Also, TLo has revealed that the SoA set has Lea Michelle smoking in public. Oh no! Her precious voice!

suboptimal posted:The moment that all none, okay maybe some have been waiting for is here: Pretty good trailer. From information already available, I'm gonna guess that Juice is gonna be the one who buys it around the third or fourth episode, and then afterward the "who killed Tara" storyline will be dropped until the last few episodes. Which means ten episodes of Gemma's stories and pointless filler arcs. Yaaay. Glad to see Michael Shamus Wiles is back again as Jury though. Wonder if his role will amount to just a another thirty second cameo or something more this time.
