It also helps to not fire until you are fully ADS because otherwise you're just hipfiring through a scope and that accomplishes nothing. CQC doesn't matter as much because with an Ergo on it you can just open up with the M249's freakishly accurate hip fire and tear them to shreds. A suppressor keeps you off the minimap so you've got a few seconds and 200 rounds to clear them out before they figure out you're there.  With LMGs you're probably going to lose every head on confrontation where they know you're there, but if you hang back and let someone else take point you'll be a highly effective cleanup crew as they eat the bullets intended for you.

Even when he deliberately set himself up in front of me so I could shoot him down, it took several passes for each kill.
