Videogame Schadenfreude: In an interview with Eurogamer, Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek, admits that his staff are going unpaid, or as he calls it, "delayed payment". http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-08-08-the-transformation-was-painful-we-paid-the-price He says he was "surprised" that employees act "emotional" when delayed payment. Not one person has shared his opinion and he's exposed himself as a douche and Crytek as badly-managed company. Sadly I doubt his employees will be fully reimbursed for their "loyalty". Crytek have acted as a very suspect company in recent years. They've opened a load of studios, but have developed very few actual games. These include Far Cry, now more successful as a Ubisoft franchise, Crysis, a series of first-person shooters better known as a series of tech-demos, and Ryse, a mediocre Xbone launch-title with a mysspelt name. They've bought up far more IPs they could reasonably develop, and have insisted that focusing on F2P games alone is the way forward. They've acted like a big developer despite lacking notability for anything but pretty graphics. Inspector Gesicht has a new favorite as of 00:26 on Aug 9, 2014 |

Far Cry and Crysis yes, Probably not Ryse (they've been developing a free to play game called Warface)

They always "have room," but I have to slam on the brakes to not be part of their car. If I knew what the legal ruling on who is at fault for that, I'd be tempted to just plow into some of the cars leaving nicer neighborhoods if I could get a rental and some serious work done on my busty old Sonata.

No.44 posted:I wonder how many of those accidents were caused by one of these guys popping out of the dash: gently caress giant spiders..... Spiders never really bothered me until I lived in this shithole apartment in Florida for a while. For some reason, I was constantly invaded by Huntsman Spiders. That fucker was big enough to cause redeye from the flash, his leg-span was bigger than my hand. They're not really harmful, but INCREDIBLY fast, and there was no way I was letting that bastard stay rent-free but I didn't want to kill him either. I managed to finally trap him with a big tupperware container and take him back outside. This bitch invaded a few months after that guy: See that weird halo around her body? Turns out that's a loving sack of baby spiders. They carry their live young around with them like that. I tried shooing it outside with a broom, assuming that was an egg sack I didn't want hatching while I slept. It rappelled down off of the broom to the floor, where my vicious new kitten immediately pounced and murdered it. With mom dead, a cloud of tiny baby spiders erupted from the sack and started to swarm. I caved and sprayed everything in reach with the can of Raid I had standing by. My girlfriend had plenty of schadenfreude from my reaction to the first one, and I'm sure anyone watching me deal with the cloud of babies would have been quite entertained (both by the kitten freaking out and me screaming every obscenity I could imagine). Normally spiders are pretty cool, but gently caress everything about these.

They're super common here in Australia. They're mean looking but they can be handy to keep around. They'll eat smaller spiders and other pests like cockroaches, and they're pretty timid so they'll generally stay out of your way.

That's the diving bell spider, it lives underwater. It comes back to the surface for air once a day.
